There are Ferrari<\/a> rare as this Ferrari 599<\/a> GTB 60 F1 Alonso Edition. An Italpassion reader contacted us to highlight his copy for sale of this very exclusive series produced in only 40 units worldwide to celebrate 60 years of victories by Ferrari<\/a> in Formula 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delivered in 2012, this Ferrari pays tribute to two symbolic victories separated by exactly 60 years: Jos\u00e9 Froil\u00e1n Gonz\u00e1lez's victory at Silverstone in 1951, Ferrari's first F1 success, and Fernando Alonso's victory at the same circuit in 2011. This history is also reflected in the interior, with the commemorative plaque \u201c1951 - 2011 Silverstone - 60 Years of Victories in Formula 1\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visually, this 599 GTB Alonso Edition obviously doesn't go unnoticed. The Rosso Scuderia base is accompanied by white accents directly inspired by the Ferrari 150\u00b0 Italia of the 2011 F1 season driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. The white stripes running across the hood, the white-painted rear pillars and the \u201cScuderia Ferrari\u201d lettering immediately recall the world of racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The example offered by our reader has 37,900 km and has known only one owner since delivery. Servicing was carried out in 2013, 2018 and 2021 in the Ferrari network. At the time of the last service, the car had 35,657 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the hood, of course, we find the legendary 6.0-liter, naturally-aspirated V12 developing 620 hp, combined with the F1 SuperFast gearbox. Like the other 599 Alonso Editions, this model is based on the HGTE (Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione), with a sharper chassis and sportier settings than those of a classic 599 GTB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interior blends carbon, black Alcantara and the typical Ferrari ambience of the 2010s. The bucket seats, blue harnesses visible in the photos and overall presentation reinforce the exclusive character of this limited series, which was already considered a collector's item from the outset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent years, the rare Ferrari 599 GTB Alonso Edition models that have appeared on the market have rapidly attracted the attention of collectors. Some recent announcements have concerned examples with very low mileage, notably in the UK or via specialist auction houses. With only 40 examples produced worldwide, each sale remains a relatively rare event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
