There are scenes that only car enthusiasts can truly appreciate! On an Italian freeway, in the midst of ordinary traffic made up of city cars and heavy goods vehicles, two extraordinary figures appear: a Ferrari F80<\/a> and a Daytona SP3<\/a>. Two Maranello monsters, two radically different visions of performance... and more than 10 million euros sitting quietly between two trucks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An almost unreal encounter on the freeway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It's rare enough to come across a hypercar on the freeway. To see two, side by side, is almost unreal. And yet, the scene did indeed take place in Italy, immortalized by a few images that have gone viral. The two cars, registered in Milan, are not just any cars. On one side, a recent Ferrari F80, first registered in March 2026. On the other, a Daytona SP3 registered since May 2024. Two models produced in very limited series, for an ultra-exclusive clientele.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daytona SP3: the cult of the naturally-aspirated V12<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Daytona SP3 is part of the prestigious Icona series. Presented in 2021, it pays homage to the prototypes Ferrari<\/a> victorious at the Daytona 24 Hours in 1967. Its design immediately evokes the 60s, with lines inspired by the 330 P3\/4 and 412 P. Under its body, no modern compromises: a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 developing 840 hp. From 0 to 100 km\/h takes 2.85 seconds, with a top speed of 340 km\/h. A raw, emotional machine designed for purists. Produced in just 599 units, the SP3 had a starting price of around 2 million euros. But the reality on the market is quite different: some examples have already exceeded 5 million euros at auction in 2025 (not counting the 499+1 version at 26 million euros<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ferrari F80: the new era of performance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Opposite it, the Ferrari F80 embodies the very opposite. The brand's last homologated supercar, it follows in the footsteps of such legends as the F40, F50 and LaFerrari. Here, Ferrari completely changes its philosophy. Gone is the naturally-aspirated V12, replaced by a 3-liter twin-turbo V6 derived from the 499P hypercar, combined with three electric motors. The result: a total power output of 1,200 hp. Performance matches this impressive specification: 0 to 100 km\/h in 2.15 seconds and a top speed of 350 km\/h. Produced in 799 units, the F80 starts at around 3.6 million euros... before any customization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two opposing visions, one DNA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Seeing these two models together is fascinating. On the one hand, the Daytona SP3 looks to the past, celebrating Ferrari's golden age and mechanical purity. On the other, the F80 projects the brand into the future, with hybridization pushed to the extreme to push back the limits of performance. Two philosophies, two eras, but a common DNA: that of Maranello.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While some are talking about 13 million euros for this duo, a more realistic estimate is just over 10 million euros. Taking into account a Daytona SP3 valued at around 5 million euros today, and a Ferrari F80 estimated at between 3.5 and 4 million euros, this dizzying figure is easily reached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most incredible thing is the context. No circuit, no private event, no concours d'\u00e9l\u00e9gance. Just a highway, ordinary cars... and two of the most exclusive Ferraris ever produced, driving along as if nothing had happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
