At Lamborghini<\/a>, history repeats itself... but with even more power. After the already impressive Lamborghini Revuelto, the Italian brand is said to be preparing a far more radical Super Veloce (SV) version, expected around 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spotted recently in Italy under an evocative camouflage marked \u201cMacchina Veloce\u201d, this future version seems to take up the classic SV recipe: more power, more downforce, and an even more performance-oriented approach. From the very first images, the changes are obvious. A fixed rear spoiler, a reworked diffuser and additional aerodynamic elements at the front suggest that Lamborghini has clearly sought to increase downforce. The whole is based on an already modern foundation, with a carbon monocoque structure and a chassis that has been completely redesigned since the launch of the Revuelto<\/a> in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Up to 1,300 hp to rival Ferrari<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While these aerodynamic evolutions are important, it's above all under the hood that this Revuelto SV could change dimension. Early reports suggest a power output of between 1,200 and 1,300 hp, derived from the rechargeable hybrid system already present on the standard version. This figure is far from insignificant, since it would position this Lamborghini directly opposite the new Ferrari F80. Presented in 2024, this hypercar, limited to 799 units and scheduled for delivery at the end of 2025, already develops 1,200 hp, thanks to a twin-turbo V6 coupled with three electric motors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So Lamborghini has little choice: to stay in the race with Ferrari, it has to step up its game. And with a 1,300 hp target, the Revuelto SV could even slightly outperform its rival on paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technical base already out of the ordinary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To understand this potential, we need to go back to the technical basis of the Revuelto. The Revuelto is based on a completely new naturally-aspirated V12 engine, assisted by three electric motors. Two are located on the front axle, ensuring all-wheel drive, while a third is integrated into the dual-clutch gearbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This architecture not only increases power, but also optimizes driveability and responsiveness. In its SV version, Lamborghini should go even further, with specific calibration, firmer suspension and probably targeted weight reduction, even if the hybrid system limits the possible gains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A technological war between Maranello and Sant'Agata<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This Revuelto SV project perfectly illustrates the historic rivalry between Ferrari and Lamborghini. With the F80, Ferrari struck hard with a hypercar derived directly from its endurance expertise, notably inspired by the Le Mans-winning 499P. Lamborghini is preparing a response that remains true to its DNA: a spectacular atmospheric V12, now electrified, but still at the heart of the experience. Beyond the numbers, it's a real clash of philosophies. On the one hand, Ferrari is banking on an ultra-sophisticated, competition-derived V6. On the other, Lamborghini continues to develop its legendary V12, hybridizing it without distorting it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arrival expected in 2027<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If all is confirmed, this Lamborghini Revuelto SV could be unveiled by 2027. This would fuel an already intense battle in the hybrid hypercar segment, where every extra horsepower counts... but where image and emotion remain just as essential.
