There's a discreet but very real tradition among Italian manufacturers: that of passion projects, conceived almost on the fringe of commercial logic. The Dallara MPS is a perfect illustration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It all begins in 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. While the world turns in slow motion, Giampaolo Dallara<\/a> decided to launch an extraordinary project: to create a radical car, designed for pure driving pleasure. Not a classic road car, nor even a simple variation on the Dallara Stradale, but something even more extreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result was the MPS, for \u00abMacchina Posto Singolo\u00bb. A single-seater, unique in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The radical single-seater<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The philosophy behind the Dallara MPS is simple: get back to the essence of driving. No compromises here. The driver takes center stage in an open cockpit, just like in a racing car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This architecture is directly reminiscent of the Dallara SP1000, the brand's first model. It's a deliberate nod to the history of this manufacturer, founded in 1972 and now a global benchmark in competition chassis, notably for single-seaters. Beneath its sculptural bodywork, the MPS rests on a carbon-fiber monocoque. Everything is designed for performance: ultra-low driving position, optimized aerodynamics, and an almost hand-crafted design by a small team of specialized engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Ford engine... but a 100 % Dallara experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On paper, the technical specifications may seem surprising. The Dallara MPS is powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.3-liter turbocharged Ford EcoBoost engine... But in this configuration, it develops around 400 horsepower, combined with a six-speed robotized manual gearbox, as on the Dallara Stradale (video below). Above all, it powers a machine whose weight remains extremely limited thanks to the massive use of carbon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result is a driving experience that promises to be radical, raw and totally circuit-oriented. Dallara is no longer pretending to produce a road car: the MPS is a racing car in disguise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A unique model for charity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

What makes the Dallara MPS even more exceptional is that there is only one of its kind in the world. A true one-off<\/em>, designed without production constraints. This model will be offered at auction by RM Sotheby's in Monaco in April 2026, with an estimate in excess of \u20ac700,000. A high price, but ultimately coherent for a unique piece in the brand's history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But beyond the automotive object, there is a more human dimension. All funds raised will be donated to the Caterina Dallara Foundation, created in memory of the founder's daughter. An initiative designed to support the social and cultural development of the Val Ceno region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A pure vision of driving pleasure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the MPS, Dallara isn't trying to appeal to a broad public. This car is neither practical, nor versatile, nor even really rational. And that's precisely what makes it so fascinating. It embodies an almost philosophical vision of the automobile: that of an object designed solely to provide sensations. A machine designed by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
