After the launch of the new Large Panda<\/a>, product strategy Fiat<\/a> is beginning to take shape. The Italian brand is already preparing several new models to expand this family, including an unprecedented SUV that could well be the talk of the town. The concept is simple: to offer a kind of accessible BMW X6, with the silhouette of an SUV coup\u00e9, but at a typically Fiat price. Behind this project lies a model we've talked about many times, still unofficially called Grizzly or Fastback, which should be on the market in the next few months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A coup\u00e9 SUV inspired by the Grande Panda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The future Fiat will follow directly in the stylistic footsteps of the Grande Panda, from which it will take on some of its visual DNA. In particular, the front end should retain the same codes: pixelated light signature, simple surfaces and robust design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it's in profile that the model stands out. The main feature will be a roofline sloping steeply backwards, typical of SUV coupes. An architecture immediately reminiscent of models like the BMW X6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This fastback styling will be more than just an aesthetic exercise. Fiat wants to give this model a real personality in its future range, with a more visually dynamic vehicle, while retaining the practical spirit that characterizes the brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A larger, more family-oriented SUV<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If we are to believe the information from the prototypes seen in Europe, this future SUV should measure between 4.4 and 4.5 meters in length. This would clearly place it in the C segment, one category above the Grande Panda. The difference in size would be significant: almost 40 cm more than the Grande Panda. This growth should primarily benefit interior space and trunk space, with the aim of transforming this model into a true family car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform used will not be totally new. It's still STLA Smart, the architecture already used by several Stellantis Group models, including the Grande Panda, the Citro\u00ebn C3 Aircross and the Opel Frontera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Engines already familiar to Stellantis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As far as engines are concerned, the future Fiat should logically adopt technologies already present in the Stellantis galaxy. At the entry-level, a gasoline version could use the 1.2-liter turbo with 100 hp, already widely used by the group. Above that, a gasoline hybrid variant with around 145 hp should form the core of the range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fiat is also planning an electric 100 % version, with two battery capacities announced: 44 kWh and 54 kWh. Range could then vary from 300 to over 400 kilometers, depending on the configuration chosen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An affordable \u201cBMW X6\u201d?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the end, it's the price positioning that could make this model particularly interesting. Faithful to its historic philosophy, Fiat would like to offer a vehicle with a modern design that remains affordable. Initial estimates suggest an entry price of between \u20ac20,000 and \u20ac25,000 for both internal combustion and hybrid versions. A very competitive price for a coup\u00e9 SUV of this size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words, Fiat could well be offering a popular interpretation of the SUV coup\u00e9 concept, a segment hitherto largely dominated by more premium models... with engines and finishes to match, of course!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The model is due to be officially unveiled sometime in 2026, before going on sale either at the end of 2026 or from 2027 onwards.
