Sending a brand-new Italian supercar to the other side of the world to be transformed into a 2,000-horsepower monster is no longer an exception. But when it's a Lamborghini Huracan STO, the process continues to fascinate. After a Saudi customer a few months ago<\/a>This time, it was a Georgian entrepreneur who entrusted his jewel to Underground Racing, which has become an absolute benchmark in V10 twin-turbo preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An STO born for the track... and pushed to its limits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Originally, the Hurac\u00e1n STO<\/a> is already a radical machine. Lighter, more aerodynamically active and powered by the naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine Lamborghini<\/a>It develops 640 hp and reaches 100 km\/h in three seconds. On the track, it's a weapon. On the road, it's already an extreme supercar. But for some, it's just a starting point. In its original configuration, the STO tops out at around 310 km\/h and delivers 565 Nm of torque. Impressive figures... but insignificant compared to what this Georgian owner had in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head to the United States for a radical makeover<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The owner therefore sent his STO to Underground Racing in North Carolina, with a very precise objective in mind: to abandon a configuration geared to straight lines at over 400 km\/h, and to obtain a formidable car on the road, optimized for violent acceleration from 60 to 150 mph (97 to 241 km\/h). The American tuner didn't just add two turbochargers. The V10 has been completely rebuilt to maintain operating temperatures close to those of a production car, even in dense traffic and high temperatures. CNC-machined cylinder heads, bespoke pistons, billet connecting rods, a special intake and a heat-treated titanium line complete a package designed to withstand extremes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1,200 hp on petrol, over 2,000 hp on ethanol<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On 93-octane fuel, this Hurac\u00e1n STO already develops 1,200 horsepower. That's enough to humble most modern hypercars. But when fuelled with ethanol, power exceeds 2,000 hp, taking this Lamborghini into another dimension. The transmission has obviously been reinforced, with a road clutch capable of taking the load, and a fully autonomous JRR M182 electronic management system. Flex fuel, launch control, anti-lag on the move and advanced all-wheel drive management make the most of power without turning the car into an uncontrollable beast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the sheer numbers, Underground Racing insists on one thing: this STO remains perfectly usable on the road. It behaves like a production model at low revs, far from the caricatured image of a drag car unfit for everyday use. When it comes to safety, the owner has left nothing to chance. Discreetly integrated custom roll bars, harnesses, a concealed fire extinguishing system and even a parachute are all reminders that we're talking about a machine capable of extraordinary performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visually, nothing really betrays the potential of this Hurac\u00e1n STO. No extravagant body kit, no flashy livery. Instead, it retains the original aesthetics conceived at Sant'Agata Bolognese, with its massive spoiler and functional aerodynamics. A deceptive discretion, because at full throttle, this STO is capable of casting doubt on the ultimate references of the genre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
