There are images that seem to defy all logic. A supercar from the 1990s, reinterpreted at its most exclusive, launched onto mountain roads covered in fresh snow. And yet, over the last few days, it was indeed a Lamborghini Diablo Eccentrica V12 that was caught on the snow-covered roads of Villagrande di Montecopiolo, in the Italian Apennines. A scene as improbable as it is fascinating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surreal appearance in the heart of the Italian winter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As heavy snowfall hit several regions of Italy, including areas rarely affected at this altitude, the inhabitants of Montecopiolo witnessed an unexpected sight. Between snowdrifts, narrow roads and slippery bends, a golden-pink Lamborghini burst into the winter landscape, contrasting sharply with the immaculate white of the scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shots, quickly relayed on local social networks, are the work of Achille Marino, a member of the Villagrande di Montecopiolo Facebook group, accompanied by an almost poetic phrase: \"Villagrande, the magic of snow, when anything can happen.\" A phrase that sums up the situation perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Diablo... but not like the others<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At first glance, it looks like a Lamborghini Diablo straight out of the 90s, lost in its natural environment. In reality, the car seen on the snow is much rarer than that. It's a Eccentrica V12<\/a>an exceptional restomod from Eccentrica Automobili, founded by entrepreneur and collector Emanuel Colombini. This ultra-confidential project is based on an extensively reworked Diablo GTR, blending iconic design, modern technology and top-level craftsmanship. Production is strictly limited to 19 examples worldwide, each configured as a genuine piece of mechanical art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the photos, the owner opted for one of the most spectacular configurations in the program: the Rose Phoenix. This version is distinguished by its triple-coat Rose Gold metallic paint, whose reflections change subtly according to the light, even under a leaden winter sky. On board, the atmosphere is the opposite of the original Diablo's raw image: coconut-colored Alcantara, Nabuk Maxpell leather, carbon inserts and laser-engraved finishes. A supercar designed to offer a refined experience, without ever denying its radical character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

550 horsepower on snow-covered roads<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Beneath its carbon-fiber bodywork, the Eccentrica V12 retains the very essence of the Diablo: a naturally-aspirated 5.7-liter V12 developing 550 hp and 600 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via the original manual gearbox, a detail that goes some way to explaining why this car can, against all odds, cope with such precarious road surfaces. On paper, the figures are breathtaking: 0 to 100 km\/h in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 335 km\/h. Performance that's totally out of place on snow, of course, but which makes the scene even more unreal. For although the Eccentrica was never designed for such conditions, its driver seems to have fully assumed the offbeat nature of the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
