On his Facebook page, Akram Junior shares videos of his subscribers' cars. Porsches, AMGs, sometimes supercars, often accompanied by personal stories. But one of his latest posts provoked far more reactions than usual. It shows a 24-year-old employed baker at the wheel of a Ferrari 458 Italia. How is this possible?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A passion built up at an early age<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The young owner of the Ferrari<\/a> is not an entrepreneur, influencer or heir. He's a salaried baker who's been working since the age of 16. It's a classic, unassuming career path, except for an uncommon financial discipline for someone his age. He still lives with his parents and explains that he has been saving since he started working. Eight years of saving, no real estate projects, no superfluous expenses, with one clear objective: the car. From the outset, every penny of his salary went towards this passion. In fact, he makes no secret of the fact that he spends his entire income on his cars, voluntarily accepting a minimalist lifestyle to achieve his goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Porsche to Ferrari<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

His motoring career began at the age of 19 with a Porsche Cayman, already an unusual choice at that age. After a few years, he sold the model to move upmarket and bought a Ferrari F430 Spider. This intermediate step enabled him to familiarize himself with the Ferrari world, before setting his sights higher. As soon as the opportunity arose, he took it a step further with the purchase of a Ferrari 458 Italia. A model emblematic of Maranello's naturally-aspirated V8 engine, and highly sought-after today. According to his statements, the car was purchased for around 150,000 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At first glance, the amount may seem outrageous for a 24-year-old employee. However, a closer look at the market shows that the purchase is not totally incoherent. Some Ferrari 458 Italia with high mileage, sometimes close to or over 100,000 km, are actually trading at around this sum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where the budget becomes more restrictive is in the area of ancillary costs. Starting with insurance. Because of his age, the young baker pays around 350 euros a month for comprehensive cover. A high amount, but plausible for this type of vehicle and driver profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Possible, but at what price?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From a strictly mathematical point of view, the equation holds. Few expenses, no rent, eight years of continuous savings and an absolute priority given to the car make this scenario conceivable. On the other hand, this strategy leaves little room for manoeuvre. Once the Ferrari has been bought and insured, there can't be much in the way of security savings. Above all, this story illustrates a radical lifestyle choice, perfectly aligned with a passion. It also raises questions about priorities, the relationship with money and success, far from the usual standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, is driving a Ferrari at the age of 24 while working as a baker credible? The figures show that it is. It remains to be seen whether everyone would be prepared to make the same sacrifices. What do you think?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
