Five years. That's how long it took Fiat to turn back the clock... or come to its senses, depending on your point of view. In March 2020, in the middle of Covid and a deserted Geneva Motor Show, the Fiat 500 officially entered the \"all-electric era\". Back then, Fiat<\/a> said there would never be a hybrid version. I promise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here we are in November 2025, and after a slump in sales of the electric 500, a simple fact has emerged: Europe, and Italy in particular, is not yet ready to abandon small combustion-powered city cars. As a result, the Fiat 500 hybrid is finally available to order, five years after the launch of its zero-emission version. And the good news is that prices are now available in several European countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A return to essence... and to Italian roots<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This new Fiat 500 hybrid marks an important turning point. Unlike the previous generation produced in Poland, the 2025 version returns \"home\": production at Mirafiori in Turin, with a special \"Mole Antonelliana\" badge on Torino versions. A powerful symbol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also based on the new, much more modern STLA City platform: driving aids, 10.25-inch central screen, wireless Apple CarPlay\/Android Auto compatibility, improved materials, auto climate control, keyless ignition... In short, the 500 hybrid gains in technology what it loses in lightness: the new model is considerably heavier than the old one, which partly explains its modest performance: top speed 150 km\/h, 0 to 100 km\/h in 16.2 sec and even 17.3 sec for the cabriolet version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rates country by country<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Not all markets have yet revealed their prices, but those for Italy and France give a fairly accurate picture of what to expect in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Countries with no announced prices: Spain, Austria, UK, USA, Canada, Japan, Australia. But trends in Italy and France will undoubtedly set the tone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First deliveries: between 2025 and 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Orders are already open. The Torino versions, available since September and already ordered, will be delivered before the end of 2025. The other versions, Pop, Icone and La Prima, will arrive from February 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 500 hybrid that arrives late, but not too late?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This Fiat 500 hybrid is a paradoxical model. More modern, produced in Italy, better equipped... but less efficient than its predecessor. It arrives at a time when the market is demanding exactly this kind of car: compact, stylish, inexpensive, easy to drive, gasoline-powered, light hybrid. One thing's for sure: five years after its electric turn, the Fiat 500 is back on the ground it perhaps should never have left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
