At Maserati<\/a>we haven't forgotten that emotion begins with the ear. Ever since the arrival of the Nettuno V6, acclaimed for its technology, there has been one recurring criticism: its sound is considered too muted compared to the roar of older V8s or even twin-turbo V6s from rival brands. Already this summer, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Maserati gave a glimpse of its answer: a new titanium exhaust system by Maserati Corse and TubiStyle<\/a>presented on the GT2 Stradale. The promise? A deeper, more metallic timbre, a true mechanical war cry. Audiences at Goodwood still remember it: the Trident was heard, and not just a little.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two months later, Maserati finally made the MC Racing Exhaust system official. In a brief press release, the Italian brand plays the emotion card:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hand-welded in titanium by the same master craftsmen who created the MC12 exhaust, the all-new MC Racing exhaust has been designed by Maserati Corse to produce the pure, unfiltered roar of the Nettuno, as it is intended to be heard on the racetrack.\"<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

It says it all: a hand-forged titanium exhaust system by the same craftsmen (Tubi Style) who brought the MC12's legendary soundtrack to life. All of which puts Maserati back in the tradition of its heyday, where mechanics are experienced first and foremost through the senses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But reserved for the circuit...<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is, however, one snag, and it's a big one: as its name suggests, the MC Racing Exhaust is designed exclusively for track use. Not approved for road use, it won't wake the neighbors in the wee hours of the morning. Reserved for owners of the MC20, GT2 Stradale and MCPura, it will be available via the official Maserati network, for those who want to totally unleash the Nettuno's roar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What next?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Good news for Maserati sound purists: according to our information, a homologated exhaust system is being prepared for the GranTurismo and GranCabrio. It should offer a more expressive sound than the standard exhaust, without going overboard, and above all remain compatible with everyday use. This is Maserati's way of reminding us that, beyond the numbers, passion can be found in mechanical music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the MC Racing Exhaust, Maserati sends out a strong signal: the Trident has not forgotten the importance of sound emotion.
