Visitors to the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles got a nice surprise: a roar from Italy, signed V12. The museum recently welcomed a Lamborghini<\/a> Aventador, but not just any Aventador. Behind this Lamborghini Aventador<\/a> A story worthy of an automobile espionage novel hides behind an almost banal whitewash from 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this Aventador is quite simply the very first to set its wheels on American soil. Even before the model's official presentation in 2011, Lamborghini had shipped this unique car to the USA for... secret meetings. New York, Miami, Los Angeles: in the greatest of silences, a few hand-picked customers were able to preview what was to become one of the greatest successes in the history of Sant'Agata Bolognese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the Aventador's mission didn't stop there. A veritable Swiss Army knife at the service of the brand, it has in turn been a press car, a technical training tool, a marketing support, and even a participant in circuit events. In short, it has become a key component in the launch of the supercar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The legendary Aventador!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Officially presented at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the Aventador LP 700-4 replaced the Murci\u00e9lago and marked a turning point for Lamborghini. Its 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 developed 700 hp and catapulted the car from 0 to 100 km\/h in just 2.9 seconds, for a top speed in excess of 350 km\/h. What's more, its carbon monocoque chassis - a first for the brand - provided lightness, rigidity and safety, setting new standards for supercars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 2011 to 2022, over 11,000 units were produced, making the Aventador Lamborghini's best-selling V12, with increasingly radical variants: Aventador S, SV, SVJ, not forgetting the exclusive Veneno and Centenario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
