Among the Ferrari<\/a> the most original, here's a 360 Modena that won't be forgotten. Not because it's in perfect original condition, or because of its racing record, but because it's been... transformed into a limousine. Yes, you read that right: the world's longest Ferrari 360 Modena is currently on sale in the United States, and its price is far from the usual standards of the Prancing Horse marque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Ferrari stretched to the extreme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Offered for sale on the Copart website in San Diego, California, this 2003 360 Modena boasts 36,903 miles (approx. 59,000 km), but it should immediately be pointed out that the vehicle may no longer be running. The original 3.6-liter naturally-aspirated V8 (394 hp at the time) is still to be found under the rear hood, but the sales site is vague about its mechanical condition. In fact, it states \"mechanical damage\", and the vehicle is offered as is, with no guarantee of operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Externally, the yellow 360 Modena is impressive for its extraordinary length. It has been lengthened to accommodate rear doors and a limousine-like interior, with a layout more akin to a VIP party than a track-day in Fiorano. Televisions, additional lighting, full audio system, intercom... it's all there. The downside is a weight that's probably a long way from the original 1,290 kg, which doesn't help to retain the typical Ferrari driving feel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A much lower price than a classic 360 Modena<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The price? The current auction price is 18,200 $, and it can be purchased immediately for 40,000 $ (around \u20ac37,000). By way of comparison, an original Ferrari 360 Modena in good condition generally sells for between \u20ac80,000 and \u20ac110,000 in Europe. This very low price is obviously due to its very specific transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not the first time this Ferrari has been offered for sale. Already in 2018, it was offered on eBay for 95,000 $, without finding any takers. Its extreme looks and very niche use seem to put off enthusiasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What to do with such a car today?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Therein lies the dilemma. If you dream of taking your friends out for a night on the town in a one-of-a-kind Ferrari, this may be the perfect opportunity. But forget the performance and chassis purity of the original 360 Modena: this limousine has little in common with the supercar that rolled out of Maranello twenty years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless, for a collector of automotive curiosities or an entrepreneur looking to offer original experiences, this extended Ferrari V8 could become an excellent attraction. Provided, of course, that you're willing to start it up again... if it's willing to start up again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sale ends on August 1, 2025 in San Diego.
