Fiat<\/a> continues to bet big on its new Large Panda<\/a>. While the first deliveries of the hybrid version are held up by production delays, an even more affordable version of the model could soon turn the low-cost city car market upside down. What if this low-cost Grande Panda were to become the Stellantis Group's new European bestseller?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A non-hybrid version at \u20ac15,000?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the Fiat Grande Panda hybrid is priced from \u20ac16,900 depending on the market, and the 100 % electric version starts at \u20ac24,900. But according to several Serbian media, Fiat is preparing an even more affordable version of its city car, equipped with a 1.2L 100 hp petrol engine, without hybridization, combined with a manual gearbox. Still produced locally in Serbia, this version would be priced at around \u20ac15,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a particularly strategic price positioning, at a time when new vehicles under \u20ac16,000 are increasingly rare. And Fiat is simply following Stellantis' logic, already at work with the Citro\u00ebn C3, its technical cousin. The latter is a real commercial success in France and Italy, where it regularly features in the top 5 sales charts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long lead times for hybrids<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Despite a promising launch, the Grande Panda hybrid is currently suffering from long delivery times, due to production difficulties at the Kragujevac plant in Serbia<\/a>. A situation which should improve after the traditional summer break at the end of August, but which complicates Fiat's short-term ambitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps that's why the non-hybrid version is being launched now. Again, according to Serbian media, orders could open as early as September 2025,<\/strong> with production scheduled for October-November, and first deliveries expected before the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An inexpensive city car at the right time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In a context where affordable models are becoming a rare commodity, Stellantis seems to have identified the urgent need to offer new vehicles starting at \u20ac15,000. This new version of the Grande Panda is the perfect answer. With its neo-retro styling and good equipment\/price ratio, it has all the ingredients to appeal to a wide audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fiat could therefore strike hard. It remains to be seen whether production volumes will follow, because if this low-cost version is confirmed, demand is likely to explode.
