Lancia<\/a> on July 1, 2025, issued a press release to coincide with the unveiling of the new Ypsilon Rally6. In the official text, one passage did not escape the attention of enthusiasts: \"HF will become the defining characteristic of all high-performance versions of the new Lancia range: today on the Ypsilon model and soon in 2026 on the future Gamma and Delta with the \"HF Integrale\" label.\"<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few hours later, this sentence was discreetly removed from the press release, but too late: the information made the rounds on social networks and forums. This is the first time Lancia has clearly mentioned the return of the mythical \"HF Integrale\" label, directly associated with the four-wheel-drive DNA of the historic Delta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Should we really be surprised? Not really. Lancia's timetable has been crystal-clear since its rebirth under the Stellantis era: after the Ypsilon in 2024 and its HF version in 2025, comes the Gamma in 2026, followed by the Gamma HF in 2027, then the long-awaited Delta in 2028 and, logically, its HF version in 2029.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

What's intriguing here is the explicit mention of the \"Integrale\" designation. It leaves little doubt about the transmission: tomorrow's Delta HF will be a four-wheel drive.<\/strong> A configuration made possible by the STLA Medium platform, already announced as capable of accommodating electric all-wheel drive. This technical solution can be found, for example, on the new Peugeot e-3008, whose Dual Motor version develops up to 325 hp thanks to one motor at the front and another at the rear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But 2029 is still a long way off, and a lot can change in the meantime. The question of a hybrid powertrain remains open. Should Lancia and Stellantis dare to use the 2.0L GME PHEV block, already used by Jeep and soon expected by Alfa Romeo, the Delta HF Integrale could then be based on the STLA Large platform, the only one capable of accommodating such an engine in four-wheel drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While we await the unveiling of the Delta HF Integrale, the spotlight turns first to the Gamma, promised for next year.
