Cross out one Lamborghini<\/a> A brand-new Gallardo? Hard to believe, and yet that's exactly what DOLK, one of Norway's most famous street art artists, often compared to Banksy, has proposed. In 2017, at the ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum in Denmark, DOLK installed a black Gallardo, estimated at the time at $135,000, at the center of his \"No Man Is an Island\" exhibition. The project, dubbed Low Key, literally invited the public to scratch the bodywork with wrenches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No guards, no barriers: anyone could approach this supercar and leave their mark. For three weeks, thousands of visitors took part in the game. Names, slogans and messages transformed the Gallardo into a collective artistic canvas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the artist, the idea was simple: to illustrate how each individual gesture, however trivial or destructive, leaves a mark on society. \"Everything you do leaves a mark on the world\", explained the museum, defending this form of assertive vandalism as a mirror of our everyday actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work was completed when the Gallardo was deemed sufficiently \"completely destroyed\" to be frozen forever. From then on, no one was allowed to touch it: the Lamborghini, now covered in scratches etched into the paint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, provocative art or pure waste?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
