As Alfa Romeo celebrated its 115th anniversary, the Italian brand had just one topic to highlight: the sales performance of its latest model, the Alfa Romeo Junior.<\/strong> In the absence of anything new for 2025, which is already well underway, the manufacturer is once again relying on order figures to fuel its communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And for good reason: Alfa Romeo<\/a> has just announced that it has passed the 42,000 mark in orders for its BSUV, to be launched in spring 2024. This figure maintains the same momentum as in previous months, confirming a stable and promising pace of 40,000 to 50,000 units on an annual basis. A performance that makes the Junior the brand's real sales driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A steady pace, quarter after quarter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since it went on sale, the Alfa Romeo Junior has enjoyed a steady rise in sales, as shown by the quarterly breakdown of orders:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These figures show an upward curve, with the second quarter of 2025 slightly up on the previous quarter. This shows that the novelty effect is not yet wearing off, and that Junior is continuing to win over new customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A model that has become essential<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Today, the Junior accounts for between 50 % and 71 % of Alfa Romeo registrations, depending on the country, a clear demonstration of its strategic role in the range. It is also responsible for the brand's growth in registrations (+20 % year-on-year across Europe), particularly in its flagship markets: Italy, France, Germany and Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a reminder, over 12,000 units have been registered since the start of 2025, representing a monthly average of between 2,000 and 3,000 vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What next?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Herein lies the double challenge for Alfa Romeo: maintain the level of orders for Junior, but also broaden the range to prevent the brand from once again relying on a single model.<\/strong> After the Tonale in 2022, the 33 Stradale in ultra-limited production in 2023, and the Junior in 2024, no new models are planned for 2025. This is a cause for concern, especially as Alfa Romeo's survival has historically depended on a range that is too limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
