WhileAlfa Romeo<\/a> had officially announced the end of orders for its Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models a few months ago<\/a>the Italian brand is about to do an about-face. Faced with the slowdown in the 100 % electric and to the postponement of its future Stelvio and Giulia models<\/a>, Behind the scenes, Alfa Romeo is preparing the unexpected return of even more extreme Quadrifoglio versions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change of course for engines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Initially, Alfa Romeo's plan was clear: to abandon combustion engines by 2027, with a shift to 100 electric %s. But the reality of the market decided otherwise. The launches of the new generations of Giulia and Stelvio, scheduled for 2025 and 2026, have been postponed. The reason? The need to review the technical orientation of the models and reintroduce hybrid powertrains, given the slower-than-expected adoption of electric vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, the current Giulia and Stelvio will have to play for time.<\/strong> And with them, the Quadrifoglio coat of arms, Alfa Romeo's historic symbol of performance, takes one last lap of honor. But not just like that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Powerful special editions from 2026 onwards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the occasion of the announcement of a partnership between Alfa Romeo and Luna Rossa, the Italian America's Cup team, Santo Ficili, CEO of Alfa Romeo, revealed the forthcoming arrival of \"very powerful\" new Quadrifoglio models, expected in the first quarter of 2026. These models will be produced in very limited editions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim is clear: to embody the pinnacle of the Italian brand's performance expertise, taking advantage of technological innovations derived from top-level yacht racing. Lightness and advanced materials are at the heart of these new creations.<\/strong> The link with Luna Rossa should bring particular attention to the design and technical efficiency of these exceptional cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
