The sale took place on May 23, 2025 in the prestigious Monaco Paddock Club, just hours before the Grand Prix qualifying round. It was a first: never before had a Formula 1 car been auctioned at the heart of a race weekend, let alone in such a symbolic location for Scuderia Ferrari and Michael Schumacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RM Sotheby's orchestrated this exceptional sale, attracting top collectors from around the world. Such was the interest in this car that some experts had anticipated a price in excess of 10 million euros. But the final figure exceeded all expectations: \u20ac15,980,000.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A unique chassis, a legendary story<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Ferrari F2001 chassis 211 is not just any single-seater. It was the only Ferrari driven by Michael Schumacher to win the Monaco Grand Prix, in 2001,<\/strong> of the calendar. The same car also enabled the German driver to clinch his fourth world title by winning the 2001 Hungarian Grand Prix. It was also Ferrari's first back-to-back drivers' and constructors' titles in F1 history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restored between 2024 and 2025 by Ferrari, the F2001 is now fully operational, with its V10 engine capable of howling at up to 17,000 rpm, a symbol of Formula 1's golden age. The restoration was carried out with the strictest respect for authenticity, making the car ready to return to the track if its new owner so wishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The F2001 is also a tribute to the \"super teams\" that made Formula 1 history in the 2000s: Jean Todt, Ross Brawn, Rory Byrne and, of course, Michael Schumacher.
