But it also brings us face-to-face with a much more down-to-earth reality: maintenance. <strong>A famous German YouTuber has just revealed a minor overhaul costing... \u20ac70,000. <\/strong>A figure that may seem excessive, except when you understand what it implies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u20ac70,000 for a \"small inspection\"? Yes, but...<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In his video, the YouTuber explains that this astronomical rate corresponds to a small inspection including :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Replacement of both timing belts,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Changing all fluids,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And above all, <strong>refurbishment of the two fuel tanks on either side of the vehicle.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These tanks are made from an extremely lightweight synthetic material, designed to minimize weight. The problem is that these components age badly: the fabric cracks, fuel vapors escape, and this can lead to fire hazards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At one time, Ferrari no longer produced these parts: owners were left with an unusable F40, simply due to a lack of available fuel tanks. An absurd situation for a car now worth between \u20ac2 and \u20ac4 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The YouTuber also shares a tip: running the engine with a full tank of fuel before a run helps to check that the tanks are still watertight.
