2025 versions of the Alfa Romeo Tonale were spotted without camouflage at Mirafiori. <\/strong>This update will be the latest version of the C-SUV Alfa Romeo<\/a> before a radical change. Indeed, the Tonale is the last Stellantis vehicle to use the platform shared with the former Fiat 500X and Jeep Compass, both of which have been replaced by models from the Fiat 600 on the CMP platform and the new Compass on the STLA Medium platform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spyshots don't reveal any significant aesthetic changes,<\/strong> which confirms that the update will focus mainly on technological improvements. The MHEV and PHEV versions of the Tonale have been photographed, and, at first glance, no major adjustments have been made to the exterior. Inside, however, updates could enhance the driver's experience, probably with a few cosmetic tweaks and improved comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The heart of this update lies mainly in the infotainment systems and engine\/gearbox management. <\/strong>These changes are designed to extend the life of the Tonale by two years, pending the arrival of the new version in 2027. If these technological improvements are enough to revitalize sales of the Tonale, the model could gain a much-needed second wind to counter the decline in sales recorded in 2024 and expected to be even more marked in 2025 with the arrival of the Junior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When will this update arrive?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The exact date of the update remains a mystery. Initially scheduled for mid-2025<\/a>, a recent interview with Alain Descat<\/a>director of Stellantis premium brands in France, revealed that the Tonale update could finally be launched at the end of 2025.<\/strong> So we'll have to wait a little longer to find out whether this 2025 version will arrive in time to boost sales of the model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tonale's 2025 update may seem anecdotal, but it promises to be a milestone in the model's history. Although it doesn't include any major aesthetic changes, it should bring about the improvements needed to boost sales... while we wait for the next generation of the Tonale, which could be presented in 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
