They therefore decided to discreetly follow the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it has to be said that even among Italian car enthusiasts, seeing an Alfa Romeo moving at a snail's pace is enough to arouse suspicion! Because let's be honest: an Alfa, old or new, is made to vibrate, to run, to live the road with passion!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moments later, the driver suddenly accelerated. Despite signals from the police, he refused to stop, running several red lights on boulevard Mansart, in the University district. The chase ended in a cul-de-sac, where the police attempted to intervene. But as they got out of their vehicle.., <strong>the Alfa Romeo reversed and hit their car head-on, before managing to escape by taking the freeway.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 18-year-old driver from Genlis was finally identified by his license plate. Already known to the police for several refusals to yield and for driving without a license, he was due to appear in court for similar offences a few weeks later. He was arrested on the morning of Saturday April 19 at his home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In police custody, he admitted the facts. He will have to answer for several offences: refusal to comply, aggravated violence against a public official with a weapon by destination (the vehicle), damage, lack of driver's license and lack of insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a news item reported by <em>Dijon news<\/em>.
