The Fiat Grande Panda<\/a> electric, currently priced at \u20ac24,900 with a 44 kWh LFP battery supplied by China's Svolt, offers a range of around 320 km. This version is already one of the most attractive in the electric city car segment. Fiat<\/a> seems to have plans to make it even more affordable in the coming months.<\/strong> An even cheaper version of the electric Fiat Grande Panda could be on the market as early as mid-2025, with a smaller battery and a lower price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the French media L'Argus<\/em>, Fiat plans to turn to Chinese giant BYD<\/strong> to equip the electric Grande Panda with an LFP battery of reduced capacity, between 30 and 35 kWh. This reduction in battery size would be accompanied by a a significant drop in range to around 200-250 km.<\/strong> It's an approach that Fiat knows well, having already applied a similar strategy to the electric 500, where two battery capacities are offered, one of which is 23.8 kWh, offering a range of 190 km. The less expensive version thus enables us to lower the price, but at the cost of reduced autonomy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This smaller-battery version of the electric Fiat Grande Panda would be clearly aimed at urban users or those traveling short distances.<\/strong> It would also be ideal for people who can easily recharge their vehicle at home. This is not a model for long journeys, but a practical solution for daily commutes or trips around town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fiat's aim is to make the electric Fiat Grande Panda even more accessible, with a price that could fall below \u20ac20,000,<\/strong> which would represent a considerable reduction on its current price. In some countries where purchase subsidies for electric vehicles are available, this could even make the Grande Panda less expensive than the combustion-hybrid version. In terms of price, it would then be in the same niche as the Leapmotor T03, a Chinese model distrubed by Stellantis currently priced at \u20ac19,500. If this even more affordable version of the Fiat Grande Panda becomes a reality, it could mark a turning point in the democratization of electric vehicles.
