The first delivery of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale supercar on December 17, 2024<\/a> confirms the popularity of this exceptional model. As part of the launch, Alfa Romeo even set itself the ambitious challenge of delivering all 33 examples of this limited edition. in less than two years<\/a>. However, one question remains unanswered: what exactly will be the split between combustion and electric versions of this supercar?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the 33 Stradale<\/a> in 2023, Alfa Romeo<\/a> gave buyers a choice of two powertrains: a V6 internal combustion engine and an all-electric version. But while the brand communicated extensively on the internal combustion version, the electric version remains a mystery<\/strong>Alfa Romeo has communicated very little about the model's technical specifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, thanks to our research and cross-referencing, we were able to take a closer look under the hood of the electric Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the only official information provided by Alfa Romeo, <\/strong>the electric version of the 33 Stradale is capable of delivering a total output of over 750 hp, while offering an estimated range of 450 km. These figures are reminiscent of another Stellantis Group model: the Maserati MC20 Folgore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to our information, the Maserati MC20 Folgore should have features similar to those of the electric Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale.<\/strong> Although the MC20 Folgore has not yet been unveiled, technical similarities suggest that the electric version of the 33 Stradale could be equipped with the same technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to our information, the MC20 Folgore will share the same electric motors and battery as the Maserati GranTurismo Foglgore<\/strong>. Official information on the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore indicates that it is equipped with three 300 kW electric motors delivering a total output of 750 hp and 1350 Nm of torque. It also has a range of 450 km, and is capable of reaching 100 km\/h in just 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of 320 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The similarities in power and range between the Granturismo Folgore and the 33 Stradale are striking,<\/strong> and it seems that all three cars, including the MC20 Folgore, share the same technology under the hood, namely an 800V architecture powering three electric motors with a total output of 750 hp and a 92 kWh battery, for a range of 450 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite this information, the fate of the electric version of the 33 Stradale remains uncertain. While the performance of the electric version looks set to rival the best supercars on the market, production of this variant could be on hold. In fact, according to our sources, the the Maserati MC20 Folgore has been suspended<\/a>which raises doubts about the availability of the electric version of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By 2023, Alfa Romeo had confirmed that only two customers<\/strong> had positioned themselves for the electric version, but buyers still had the option of choosing between the two powertrains. At present, the Italian manufacturer may prefer to produce 33 units of the V6 combustion model, unless Alfa Romeo confirms a firmer demand for the electric version.
