Big announcement in North America, the Dodge Hornet GLH goes into production, <\/strong>marking a return of the legendary \"Goes Like Hell\" name. According to Dodge's CEO, interviewed by the media outlet THEDRIVE<\/em>will benefit from more power and a high-performance suspension. Could this radical version of the Hornet inspire an equally high-performance Alfa Romeo Tonale?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To understand this announcement, we first need to look back at the history of the Hornet GLH. The initial concept saw the light of day in 2022<\/strong> at the same time as the two GT and R\/T variants of the Hornet, each benefiting from Mopar's performance expertise. These concepts featured lowered suspensions, sport exhaust systems and sporty styling. The GT model features a 2.0L turbo engine with 268 hp, while the 1.3L plug-in hybrid R\/T version pushes the envelope with 288 hp. But the GLH version remained little more than a concept. The announcement of a higher-performance model is seen as a positive sign that the range is to be expanded. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a reminder, Dodge Hornet and Alfa Romeo Tonale share a common technical base<\/strong>. Both models are produced in Italy and share many similarities, including the 1.3L plug-in hybrid engine, while the 2.0L GME is reserved for American and Canadian versions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the moment, Dodge hasn't revealed any further details about the increased power and improved suspension.
