While the official presentation of the future Alfa Romeo Stelvio SUV is scheduled for 2025, probably in June, the Stelvio will be presented at a later date, production may well be pushed back to 2026 due to the integration of electric motors in the model.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the main factors behind this delay is the production of high-performance electric motors, a key technology for the 100 % electric version of the SUV. While these motors are already produced in the USA at the Kokomo plant, the Szentgotthard plant in Hungary, will not start producing electric motors until 2026.<\/strong> This could mean that the Stelvio, although announced for 2025, won't hit the road until 2026. A situation that could lead to static presentations or a few pre-production models between now and the end of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The future Stelvio will be designed on the STLA Large platform, an architecture reserved for the Stellantis Group's top-of-the-range models, and will be offered with several powertrain options, including an all-electric version. At present, however, the electric model takes precedence, followed by hybrid versions.<\/strong> At the Paris Motor Show 2024, Santo Ficili, CEO ofAlfa Romeo<\/a>confirmed that hybrid versions will not be available immediately after launch<\/a>. Like the Dodge Charger, the future Stelvio will probably feature two engines and a large 100 kWh battery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is therefore likely that the Stelvio will be presented to the public in the months to come, in 2025, but that its production and launch will be delayed. availability will not begin in earnest until 2026.<\/strong>.
