By 2024, Maserati will have sold barely more vehicles than Lamborghini and, according to our estimates, probably fewer than Ferrari. A collapse that no prestige brand could ignore.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In Modena, production of the MC20 fell by <strong>79 %<\/strong>from 1,244 units in 2023 to a mere 260 in 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At Cassino, which also produces Grecale, the decline is a little less dramatic, but still significant, with a drop of <strong>58 %<\/strong>from 17,242 to 7,250 units.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, Maserati's overall production fell by <strong>64 %<\/strong>from 27,166 units in 2023 to 9,760 in 2024. A reduction of more than 17,000 cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An unprecedented fourth quarter 2024<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To cap it all, Maserati closed 2024 with its worst fourth quarter since 2012. With only <strong>2,700 cars<\/strong> sales between October and December, over the same period the brand posted a decline of <strong>55 %<\/strong> compared with the previous year, when 6,000 units were sold. Although the figure is higher than Lamborghini's, it marks a clear decline on previous years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Italy<\/strong> Maserati's historic market, Italy, saw sales plummet by <strong>42 %<\/strong>with just 2,242 units sold in 2024.
