While the compact Junior model <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/en\/alfa-romeo\/first-orders-alfa-romeo-junior-2-times-less-than-tonale\/\">half as many orders as the Tonale at launch<\/a>Nevertheless, he seems to be off to a good start in his career, <strong>with good results, particularly in Italy, France and Spain<\/strong>Germany, on the other hand, is off to a more timid start. As a reminder, these countries represent the top 5 in Alfa Romeo sales, excluding the US where the Junior is not sold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In December 2024, Italy is the ideal playground for Junior. Among the 1993 Alfa Romeos registered that month, <strong>937 units (more than 50 %) are Juniors<\/strong>. This contrasts with the Tonale, which attracted just 733 buyers. This shows that the Junior has become the brand's star seller in its home country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Italy<\/th><th>December 2024<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Alfa Romeo<\/td><td>1993<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>of which Junior<\/td><td>937<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>including Tonale<\/td><td>733<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In France, the Junior craze is also palpable. <strong>Of the 593 Alfa Romeo units registered in December 2024, no fewer than 302 are Juniors.<\/strong>. This testifies to a real craze for the model, which stands out for its performance and popularity. With 22 % of Juniors registered in electric versions, France also seems to be embracing this electrified version, further strengthening the model's appeal with customers concerned about the energy transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>France<\/th><th>December 2024<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Alfa Romeo<\/td><td>593<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>of which Junior<\/td><td>302<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>including Tonale<\/td><td>202<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In Spain, the results are just as impressive. <strong>Of the 284 Alfa Romeo cars registered in December 2024, 182 are Juniors.<\/strong>far ahead of the 63 Tonales sold. This momentum places Spain among the most enthusiastic countries for the Junior, a clear sign of the model's success in the Iberian country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Spain<\/th><th>December 2024<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Alfa Romeo<\/td><td>284<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>of which Junior<\/td><td>182<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>including Tonale<\/td><td>63<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>However, <strong>in Germany, the Junior still struggles to convince as much as the Tonale<\/strong>. Out of 451 registrations in December 2024, 114 Juniors found takers, while the Tonale remained slightly ahead with 129 units sold. This more modest performance confirms that the Junior has not yet fully found its place in the hearts of Germans, which contrasts with its triumph in other European countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Germany<\/th><th>December 2024<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Alfa Romeo<\/td><td>451<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>of which Junior<\/td><td>114<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>including Tonale<\/td><td>129<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Junior looks set to be a flagship model for Alfa Romeo in 2024<\/strong>particularly in Italy, France and Spain, where it outstrips the Tonale in terms of sales. And this could continue with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/en\/alfa-romeo\/alfa-romeo-junior-ibrida-q4-presentation-early-2025-what-to-expect-in-price-and-performance\/\">the new Junior Q4 just presented<\/a>. <strong>According to our information, Junior is a product of conquest.<\/strong>with few former Alfa Romeo customers. This finding reinforces the idea that the Tonale, after good years in 2023 and 2024, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/en\/alfa-romeo\/alfa-romeo-le-junior-saves-the-brand-le-tonale-breathless-figures-november-2024\/\">is beginning to run out of steam, as we mentioned in a previous article<\/a>.
