The Fiat Grande Panda, scheduled for early 2025 in Europe<\/a>marks a new era for the Italian brand. This model, based on the STLA Smart platform, represents not only an important technological evolution, but also a new era for the Italian brand. a more global strategy for Fiat<\/a><\/strong>which until now has dedicated models for the European and Latin American markets. Although the the European Grande Panda hybrid will be powered by the Puretech 1.2L 100 hp engine<\/strong>like all new Stellantis models, Brazilian version could feature Fiat FireFly engine<\/strong>a choice that will still cause teeth to cringe on the old continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Puretech 1.2L engine for Europe, and Fiat for Brazil<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The European version of the Fiat Grande Panda, to be launched in early 2025<\/a>will be equipped with 1.2L 100 hp hybrid combustion engine, formerly known as Puretech<\/strong>. This engine, formerly developed by PSA, is widely used in the group's new models, including the Citro\u00ebn C3, Peugeot 208, Alfa Romeo Junior, Fiat 600, and many others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No real surprise for the Brazilian version of the Fiat Grande Panda<\/strong>. There, the model will be equipped with the FireFly engine<\/strong>an engine developed by Fiat and widely used in Brazil in the brand's models, but also in the Brazilian Citro\u00ebn C3<\/a> and the Brazilian Peugeot 208<\/a>. This difference in choice will once again annoy some European consumers, who would have preferred to see the European Fiat Grande Panda equipped with this engine. It would also confirm that the Fiat FireFly engine is compatible with the STLA Small platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brazil, Fiat's number 1 market<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Brazil, by far Fiat's largest market in terms of sales volume<\/a>is receiving special attention in this rationalization drive. Also according to Quatrorodas, the Brazilian version of the Fiat Grande Panda could even be renamed Fiat Uno<\/strong> and replace two key models, the Fiat Argo and the Fiat Mobi, the latter having exceeded 600,000 units sold<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
