The Italian brand Lamborghini<\/a> continues to impress in 2024<\/strong>with exceptional results for the first nine months of the year. Third-quarter figures confirm the positive momentum begun at the start of the year<\/a>with performances that suggest another record year<\/strong> for the Sant'Agata Bolognese manufacturer. With just three main models - the Urus, Hurac\u00e1n and Revuelto - Lamborghini is in a position to achieve unprecedented delivery volumes, demonstrating its ability to excel even with a small range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Production and sales up, Revuelto in the spotlight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From January to September 2024, Lamborghini produced 9,605 vehicles, a significant increase on the 7,365 units for the same period in 2023. Deliveries followed the same trend, reaching 8,411 units versus 7,744 last year.<\/strong>an increase of 8.6 %. The Revuelto, replacement for the Aventador,<\/a> plays a central role in this success: after a timid initial production run in 2023 (the year of its launch), this model now boasts 1,401 units produced in the first three quarters of 2024, and 878 deliveries to customers. Feedback has been enthusiastic, with order lead times now exceed two years,<\/strong> proof of the appeal of this hybrid model at a price reportedly in excess of \u20ac600,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solid and growing financial results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In financial terms, Lamborghini posted impressive growth with sales of 2.434 billion euros for the first nine months of 2024<\/strong>sales, up 20.1 % on last year. Higher sales volumes and model customization options made a significant contribution to this sales figure. The company also maintained its high profitability, with operating profit of 678 million euros<\/strong> (+9.8 %), despite a slight decline in operating margin, from 30.5 % in 2023 to 27.9 % in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even if it hasn't (yet) reached Ferrari's level, this profitability is particularly remarkable in an automotive market<\/strong> Lamborghini's strategy of creating models that are highly desirable and well-positioned in the luxury segment is proving its effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Urus and Hurac\u00e1n, the pillars of the range<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Urus SUV continues to dominate in terms of volume, with 4,545 units delivered between January and September 2024<\/strong>. Even if sales remain stable, the arrival of the PHEV version, the Urus SE<\/a>launched in April, further enhances the model's appeal. La Hurac\u00e1n<\/strong>is holding up well with 2,980 deliveries, although a transition is in sight: this iconic model is destined to be replaced by the Lamborghini Temerario<\/a><\/strong>which began collecting orders in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continued growth in key markets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lamborghini sees its particularly strong sales in Europe<\/strong>which accounts for 40 % of deliveries, and in the United States, with 29 % of market share, albeit slightly down on 2023. On the other hand, the brand continues to face difficulties in China<\/strong>with a declining share. This phenomenon seems similar to that observed by other European luxury brands, such as Ferrari, revealing a possible loss of momentum in this market for supercars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With third-quarter figures and the Revuelto momentum, Lamborghini looks set to surpass 11,000 deliveries by 2024<\/strong>. This would be a first for the brand, which joins Ferrari, which had passed the milestone of 11,155 deliveries by 2021. With a fully electrified range in its sights, Lamborghini is preparing for the future by continuing to generate strong demand for its flagship models.
