This platform, key to the future of many of the group's brands, was to see the arrival of.., <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/en\/stellantis\/stellantis-product-plan-to-2028-with-platforms\/\">according to our information<\/a>Peugeot 2008, Peugeot 208 and Opel Corsa in 2026, followed by the Fiat 500 and DS3 in 2027, then the Opel Mokka and Citro\u00ebn C4 in 2028. However, these forecasts are now uncertain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The first alert came from the Fiat 500<\/strong>whose new STLA Small-based version may not see the light of day in 2027 as planned. In fact, Stellantis recently allocated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/en\/fiat\/fiat-500-electric-stellantis-invests-100-million-euros-to-boost-sales\/\">100 million euros to improve the current electric Fiat 500<\/a>and confirmed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/en\/fiat\/new-fiat-500-hybrid-engine-platform-price-date-all-revealed\/\">new 500 hybrid on STLA City platform<\/a>model, scheduled for 2025, two years before the initial release of the STLA Small model. This decision is the result of weak sales of the 100 % electric version, forcing the Group to adapt its strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New signal: the <em>Tribuna de Automoci\u00f3n<\/em>a Spanish newspaper, reports that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/en\/stellantis\/stellantis-spanish-plant-in-vigo-well-positioned-for-stla-small-platform\/\">the future Peugeot 2008, planned as the first model on the STLA Small platform<\/a>will be <strong>produced at the Vigo plant in 2029, instead of 2027.<\/strong> This two-year postponement raises questions about the Group's overall strategy, in particular for the Peugeot 208 and Opel Corsa, also due in Spain in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This reorganization could suggest that <strong>Stellantis aims to maximize the lifespan of current hybrid versions, <\/strong>which, although older, are still profitable. It's also possible that the Group wants to delay investment in future models on this platform, bearing in mind that smaller vehicles, such as those based on STLA Small, often generate lower margins. It is also interesting to note that<strong>he current Peugeot 2008, based on the CMP platform, shares its segment with recent models such as the Fiat 600 and Alfa Romeo Junior.<\/strong>which suggests a longer life for this platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The market is evolving rapidly, and Stellantis may choose to take time to adjust its roadmap.
