Three months after the President of Serbia announced the start of production of the new Fiat Grande Panda, delays are disrupting the original schedule. Although the official presentation of the model took place in July, and the Serbian President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 announced an imminent launch<\/a> production lines at the Kragujevac plant, the first production models will not be released until November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A relative delay in a complex context<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to information from Quattroruote, the Stellantis Group has never confirmed a precise date for the start of series production. While Vu\u010di\u0107 had mentioned a potential start as early as October, the latest news points to a postponement to November for the first models produced<\/strong> in series. This delay, though minor, seems to be partly due to internal adjustments at Stellantis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were rumors of low demand for electric vehicles in Serbia, fuelling the idea of a six-month delay. However, Stellantis has denied such speculation, claiming that the project is well on course and that the adjustments are not as significant as some local media have suggested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Production priorities: is the Citro\u00ebn e-C3 to blame?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Another factor may have influenced this slight delay: the urgent need to produce and deliver the Citro\u00ebn e-C3. <\/strong>This model, manufactured at the Tranava plant in Slovakia and sharing the same components as the Fiat Grande Panda, is at the heart of the \"social leasing\" offer, which has generated a large number of pre-orders due to its low-price positioning. For Stellantis, this additional pressure has undoubtedly necessitated prioritization, thus shifting production of the Fiat Grande Panda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A little more patience to configure the Grande Panda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although series production has not yet begun, Stellantis assures us that everything will be ready by the end of the year. The Fiat Grande Panda project remains a strategic priority for Fiat, particularly with this model 100 % electric,<\/strong> as part of the brand's commitment to making the transition to electric vehicles accessible to all. Price, around \u20ac20,000 before financial assistance<\/strong>is expected to appeal to a wide audience, especially in Europe, where it will be manufactured. The hybrid thermal version <\/strong>is also featured on Fiat's official Italian, German and Spanish websites, but not on the Fiat France website<\/strong>... to be continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
