The organization behind the famous \"Car Of The Year\" recently unveiled the list of candidates for the title of \"Car of the Year 2025\". There are 41 models from 29 different brands, divided between combustion, electric and hybrid models, all vying to succeed the Renault Scenic E-Tech. Here are the four Italian cars that stand out in this prestigious competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The European title of \"Car of the Year\" is awarded to vehicles already on sale or due to go on sale in at least 5 European countries by the end of the year. For the 2025 vintage, the competition is fierce, with models such as the Dacia Duster, the Renault R5 E-Tech and the Citro\u00ebn C3 \/ e-C3. Renault is particularly well represented, with three models in the running. However, there is no Peugeot among the contenders, which is surprising given that the brand has unveiled its new 3008 and 5008.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Italian women in competition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Among the 41 candidates, 25 electric cars stand out, including Chinese models such as the MG Cyberster and Xpeng G6. However, Italian cars also feature prominently on the list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  4. Maserati Grecale <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The Maserati Grecale isn't actually a new model, but it may be the Folgore version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The selection process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The first list of candidates will be refined and finalized on November 15. Jury members will vote a first time on November 22 to narrow the list down to fewer than 10 vehicles. The final list will be published on November 25, prior to the final phase. In all, 59 jurors from 22 European countries will vote for the Car of the Year 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We could put a coin on the Fiat Grande Panda. The Fiat Panda has already been Car Of The Year 2004. The Fiat 500 was voted Car Of The Year in 2008. And the last Alfa Romeo to win it was the 147 in 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
