After a successful career, the Lamborghini Hurac\u00e1n will soon give way to its successor, the Lamborghini Temerario. The evolution towards a more ecological motorization is underway, with thehe switch from a V10 to a V8 PHEV<\/strong>. This new V8 hybrid is already used in the new Lamborghini Urus SE SUV<\/a>. Although the farewell to the V10 may bring a pang to the heart of Lamborghini enthusiasts, the company wants to reassure them that the performance of its new V8<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Lamborghini Tecnica's V10 delivered 640 hp, 545 Nm and a maximum speed of 8,500 rpm, the new V8 promises even more impressive figures: 800 hp, 730 Nm and a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm!<\/strong> An impressive performance that should appeal to thrill-seekers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lamborghini's official press release details the specifications of this new engine. The future Lamborghini is codenamed 634, and will join the High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) range. This twin-turbo V8 is combined with a hybrid system comprising three electric motors<\/strong> and a eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox<\/strong>the same as the one recently introduced on the Lamborghini Revuelto<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This engine aims to surpass the performance and driving emotions of the current Hurac\u00e1n range. The twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 delivers an exceptional 200 hp per liter. The maximum power delivered by the internal combustion engine will be 800 hp between 9,000 and 9,750 rpm<\/strong>reaching a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm<\/strong>a figure usually reserved for racing engines, making this new V8 unique among road-going supercars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rear electrical system, designed for this V8, is positioned between the combustion engine and the dual-clutch gearbox<\/strong>. It is capable of generating high torque and power, with a maximum of 300 Nm and 110 kW (150 hp) at 3,500 rpm, while maintaining compact dimensions and low weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
