A press release from Stellantis has just rocked the automotive world. Abarth<\/a>in collaboration with Stellantis Motorsport, announces without directly mentioning it, but unveiling an image, the launch of a new, sporty model of the 600, with the expected 240 hp.<\/strong> This initiative also marks a historic turning point for Abarth, as the brand appears to become a \"performance\" entity of Stellantis by joining forces with Stellantis Motorsport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abarth and Stellantis Motorsport are celebrating their shared racing heritage with a partnership that aims to make production cars perform better by transferring track-proven technologies. Here, the project is based on the eCMP platform, renamed Perfo-eCMP<\/strong>. As a reminder, the eCMP platform is used by the 600, the Jeep Avenger and the future Alfa Romeo Milano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abarth and Stellantis Motorsport engineers have joined forces to create a new high-tech sports car<\/strong>. Every aspect, from the engine to the suspension, has been meticulously crafted to ensure exceptional handling, responsive driving dynamics and rock-solid stability. The result? Without even naming it, here's a photo of an Abarth 600.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Abarth 600 is distinguished by its 240 hp engine and an advanced braking system.<\/strong> Larger brake discs with wider surfaces ensure better heat dissipation and increased resistance to fading. What's more, the press release announces that the new tires, developed from Formula E experience, offer maximum grip, a perfect compromise between autonomy and acoustic comfort. At least we know Maserati isn't in FE for nothing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interior of the new Abarth 600 is no exception, it will offer high-comfort seats with racing ergonomics.<\/strong> Composed of four different foams, these seats are both comfortable and supportive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In our opinion, this collaboration between Abarth and Stellantis Motorsport will not be limited to the new Abarth 600. It clearly opens the door to 240hp sports versions for other Group models <\/strong>such as the Alfa Romeo Milano to be unveiled this year, the Lancia Ypsilon HF scheduled for 2025 and, why not, a Peugeot 208 GTI? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
