A partnership established with former CEO Sergio Marchionne who, in exchange for 10 million euros, could rename the Swiss Sauber team to Alfa Romeo and place a driver from the Ferrari Driver Academy (like a certain Charles Leclerc). Mr. Imparato, current CEO of the Biscione brand, was initially skeptical when he took over,\u00a0<strong>finally declared that \"F1 is an excellent communication tool<\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a0<strong>to make known the sportiness of the Alfa Romeo brand<\/strong>\u00a0around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" focusable=\"false\" class=\"icon icon-quote\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\"><use xlink:href=\"#icon-quote\"><\/use><\/svg>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\"Sauber and Alfa Romeo are becoming more and more fused, and this brings immense benefits to both brands and soon on the track.\"<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The partnership should have lasted until at least 2025, <strong>the arrival of Audi changed all that. <\/strong>The Swiss team will be called Sauber again from 2024, then Audi in 2026, with an Audi engine replacing the Ferrari engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The possibility of Alfa Romeo moving to Haas had already been raised, but Jean-Philippe Imparato dismissed it: \u00a0<em>\"We love Formula 1, but we don't want to jump from one team to another\".<\/em> He would later add <em>\"Alfa Romeo evaluates categories other than Formula 1\"<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another point,<strong> would Haas agree to rename its stable<\/strong> into the Alfa Romeo F1 Team? Would it become Haas Alfa Romeo Moneygram F1 Team? It's a bit far-fetched, unless we find a compromise like Alfa Romeo Haas F1 Team... But what about Moneygram, whose agreement also represents 20 million $ per year?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The final reason why Alfa Romeo would not return to Formula 1: all new models will be 100 % electric from 2024 with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/en\/alfa-romeo\/alfa-romeo-une-gamme-100-electrique-en-2027\/\">an all-electric range in 2027<\/a>. What's the point of being present in F1, which is a championship with hybrid-powered cars?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Others <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/en\/alfa-romeo\/the-sports-alternatives-dalfa-romeo-for-his-last-year-in-f1\/\">alternatives to F1 are still possible for Alfa Romeo<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why it's credible<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why do we think the Haas partnership is credible?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First and foremost,<strong> Haas seeks a reliable, attractive and long-term title sponsor<\/strong>. Alfa Romeo has proved with Sauber that the brand can be very attractive to engineers, fans...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next,<strong> the Haas Formula 1 chassis is developed and manufactured by Dallara of Italy<\/strong>. A company which, among other things, developed the chassis for the Maserati MC20...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, this partnership will make it possible to <strong>securing Ferrari's engine supply contract<\/strong> which will only have Haas as a client team in 2026 (unless announced otherwise).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition<strong> Haas at a Ferrari building in Maranello<\/strong>Since 2021, the company's technical director has been Simone Resta, a former member of the Ferrari F1 Team and Alfa Romeo F1 Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And even though future Alfa Romeo models will be 100 % electric, Formula 1 is part of the Italian brand's DNA. <strong>will take advantage of the championship's visibility to showcase its future cars around the world,<\/strong> including in developing markets such as North America and Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For all these reasons, the Alfa Romeo brand's involvement in the Haas Formula 1 team would make perfect sense. <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":31474,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_sitemap_exclude":false,"_sitemap_priority":"","_sitemap_frequency":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[22,328,323],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-31473","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-alfa-romeo","category-formule-1","category-competition","generate-columns","tablet-grid-50","mobile-grid-100","grid-parent","grid-33"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.8 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Alfa Romeo sponsor titre de Haas en 2024 : une rumeur vraiment cr\u00e9dible ?
