Is it a worthy replacement for the famous Lamborghini Gallardo?\u00a0<strong>ItalPassion had the chance to try it on the circuit of Fay de Bretagne, near Nantes !<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-0 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From the Gallardo to the Hurac\u00e1n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After 11 years of Lamborghini Gallardo and its 14 022 cars built,<\/strong>&nbsp;it was time for the Italian brand to present the one that will take over for almost as long. Because yes, even if the Lamborghini Gallardo is an excellent supercar, and despite a facelift in 2008, technologies evolve and so do trends. Let's also think about the lucky Gallardo owners who might want to change their car. In short, this Hurac\u00e1n, everyone was waiting for it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_4746\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210120075226im_\/https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lamborghini-huracan-vs-gallardo.jpg\" alt=\"Lamborghini Huracan vs Lamborghini Gallardo\" class=\"wp-image-4746\"\/><figcaption>Lamborghini Huracan vs Lamborghini Gallardo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It is in 2010 that the boss of Lamborghini USA releases the first information<\/strong>&nbsp;about this car. He talks about a simpler range, a less greedy V10 engine and a platform shared with the future Audi R8. And yes! Even if we're talking about Lamborghini, a brand of Italian origin, let's not forget that this one is owned by the German manufacturer Audi since 1998.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Initially named Cabrera by the entire press, it was in late 2013 that its final name Hurac\u00e1n was unveiled.<\/strong>&nbsp;For the anecdote, Hurac\u00e1n is the god of fire, wind and storm among the Mayans. After many months of spy photos, it is the official presentation of the Lamborghini Huracan by its manufacturer that puts an end to the rumors. So, does it keep its promises?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical presentation of the Hurac\u00e1n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On paper, the Hurac\u00e1n has everything of a supercar!<\/strong>&nbsp;A 5.2L V10 engine that develops 610 hp, a torque of 560 Nm and a curb weight of 1,422 kg. Result, a 0 to 100 km \/ h in 3.2 seconds and a Vmax of 322 km \/ h. In comparison, the Gallardo is 560 hp and 540 Nm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210120075226\/https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lamborghini-huracan-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210120075226im_\/https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lamborghini-huracan-2.jpg\" alt=\"Lamborghini Huracan\" class=\"wp-image-4727\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210120075226\/https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lamborghini-huracan-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210120075226im_\/https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lamborghini-huracan-1.jpg\" alt=\"Lamborghini Huracan\" class=\"wp-image-4726\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On the size side,<\/strong>&nbsp;4.45 meters long, 2.23 meters wide and 1.15 meters high. The whole thing is shod on 20\u2033 rims. It's ultra modern, very well finished and packed with electronics. Alcantara and leather are in the spotlight.  Without caricaturing, it's a&nbsp;<strong>futuristic and sporty mix<\/strong>. On the other hand, the cabin is very dark and there are maybe too many buttons... For a car that is meant to be sporty. To give you an idea, it took me a few moments to understand how the electric driver's seat adjustment works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_4721\"><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210120075226\/https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/habitacle-lamborghini-huracan.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210120075226im_\/https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/habitacle-lamborghini-huracan.jpg\" alt=\"Lamborghini Huracan Interior\" class=\"wp-image-4721\"\/><\/a><figcaption>Photo Lamborghini<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But let's not be unkind,&nbsp;<strong>the finish is exemplary<\/strong>The digital speedometer is superb, the materials used are visually pleasing and you can feel the Audi brand's touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I buckle my belt, start up thanks to a start button sheltered under a red cover (an idea taken from fighter planes), and gas!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210120075226\/https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lamborghini-huracan-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210120075226im_\/https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lamborghini-huracan-3.jpg\" alt=\"Lamborghini Huracan\" class=\"wp-image-4731\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">So, is it growing?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If the combined consumption announced by the manufacturer is 12.5 L \/ 100 km ... on the track we do not care and we press the gas pedal!&nbsp;<strong>The power is there<\/strong>&nbsp;(3,2 sec for the 0 to 100 we tell you!),&nbsp;<strong>the engine has a very pleasant sound<\/strong>&nbsp;when we go up in the towers,&nbsp;<strong>the gear changes (7 in total) are smooth<\/strong>. Braking, turning, accelerating, braking, turning, accelerating, etc. Even on a circuit the driver is perfectly at ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210120075226\/https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lamborghini-huracan-6.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210120075226im_\/https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lamborghini-huracan-6.jpg\" alt=\"Lamborghini Huracan\" class=\"wp-image-4737\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Conclusions after 5 laps on board this Lamborghini Hurac\u00e1n. Exemplary interior and exterior finishes, a very powerful engine, excellent handling, smooth gear shifts and a very comfortable interior for the driver.&nbsp;<strong>So, the perfect supercar? Yes, but... probably on the road!<\/strong>&nbsp;I am not a professional pilot and yet,&nbsp;<strong>at the level of pure sensations, those which give the banana at the wheel<\/strong>I didn't feel like I was holding a raging bull in my hands, but a&nbsp;<strong>well-trained bull<\/strong>. After that, I won't make my demands, it's still\u00a0<strong>an exceptional experience to be able to test this car on a circuit<\/strong>.
