The start-up procedure for a 5.4 million $ Pagani resembles that of an airplane pilot (on purpose).

On Instagram, a video that has gone viral shows a Paganiestimated at $5.4 million according to the author, is getting underway. Internet users can't believe it: "It looks like a fighter jet! And for once, it's not an exaggeration. At PaganiStarting a car isn't a formality: it's a carefully orchestrated ritual, reminiscent of starting an aircraft cockpit.

A ritual worthy of an airplane pilot before takeoff

Forget the ordinary start-stop button on your car (or the key in the ignition for older models). In a Pagani, it all starts with an artistic key, carved from a block of aluminum in the shape of a mini Huayra. The driver inserts it into the central contactor, then manually activates the electrical systems, the warning lights come on, the analog meters come to life, and the supercar begins to wake up. But there's more to come!

Then there are the aeronautical-style toggle switches on the aluminum and carbon fiber center console. Each controls an essential function: power, fuel pump, electronic management... These precise, almost ceremonial gestures are reminiscent of an airplane pilot's pre-take-off checklist.

The V12 can finally start

Once the sequence has been validated, the driver presses the red "Engine Start" button. The twin-turbocharged AMG V12, custom-built for Pagani, awakens with a thunderous roar. The sound is so intense you'd think it was about to take off. Electronic systems check pressures and temperatures, aerodynamic flaps adjust automatically, and the car prepares to leap.

"It really looks like a pilot asking permission from the control tower before taking off," commented a surfer below the video.

Pagani, between art and engineering

Horacio Pagani has made no secret of his philosophy: the fusion of art and engineering. In a Pagani, every lever, every visible dial, every screw is part of a production. The Italian brand wants every start-up to be an emotional experience.

The Pagani in this video perfectly embodies this spirit. Note that the video's author indicates that this is a Pagani Imola 1of1 RHD estimated at 5.4 million $. Except that the latter, the only one of its kind in the world, has a blue interior, while the one in the video is red. It looks more like a Pagani Huayra Roadster. But that doesn't change the starting procedure!
