A one-of-a-kind Italian hypercar, estimated at nearly $10 million, is set to thrill the world's wealthiest collectors at an exceptional auction in Abu Dhabi. The Pagani Zonda 760 Riviera, the rarest of rarities, will be showcased by Sotheby's from December 2 to 5, 2025, in conjunction with the Formula 1 Grand Prix and Abu Dhabi Collectors' Week. But this time, the supercar won't be alone: it will share the stage with equally extravagant jewels and diamonds.
A hypercar already familiar to collectors

This is not the first time the Pagani Zonda 760 Riviera has appeared on the market. Less than a year ago, the same car was offered for sale by German dealer Amian Collection Cars in Kerpen. At the time, the advertisement emphasized its derisory mileage - just 907 km - and its unique character: a "one-off" dressed in pearl-white bodywork with blue accents and exposed carbon fiber. The interior, meanwhile, blends blue Alcantara and black leather, for a contrast as refined as it is sporty.

In 2019, this Zonda Riviera had already sold for $5.88 million (around 5 million euros). Then, in early 2025, the car was estimated at around 10 million euros, but the final sale price was not communicated. A few months later, it's back on the international market, this time in the Middle East. Despite its very low mileage, the Riviera has already had five different owners since it was first registered in 2017. And between its sale in February 2025 and today, the car will have gone from 907 km to....908 km!

More an object of speculation than a road car?
Beneath its sculptural lines, the Riviera hides an engine that's ready to roar. It's the famous Mercedes-AMG 7.3-liter naturally-aspirated V12, developing 750 hp and mated to a 7-speed XTRAC sequential gearbox. All of which propels the Italian model from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds, with a top speed in excess of 350 km/h. A true mechanical monster... which, in reality, seems to sleep more in luxury garages than on a racetrack.

With just 907 km covered in 8 years and successive owners, the Riviera perfectly illustrates a growing phenomenon: that of the hypercar transformed into a financial asset, an object of speculation where rarity and exclusivity count for more than the driving experience.
A sale that mixes hypercars and diamonds
In Abu Dhabi, the Riviera will be accompanied by other spectacular lots: an Aston Martin One-77 estimated at between $1.3 and $1.6 million, as well as competition cars signed McLaren, including an F1 2026 and an IndyCar. But what really sets this sale apart is its unexpected combination of supercars and jewelry.
Among the jewels on offer is the "Desert Rose", a 31.86-carat Fancy Vivid orange-pink diamond, valued at between $5 and $7 million - the largest ever certified in its category. In all, more than $20 million worth of precious objects are expected to be sold.
It's no coincidence that Sotheby's has chosen the Emirati capital for its first major automobile and jewellery sale in the region. The event is part of a week in which Abu Dhabi focuses on Formula 1, finance, art and luxury, and confirms its ambition to become a global hub for auctions and prestige.
