He bought it for 5.8 million $: his Pagani now tops the 10 million mark at auction... without ever being driven.

When it changed hands in 2019 for $5.88 million, the Pagani Zonda 760 Riviera already belonged to this very closed circle of exceptional hypercars. But six years later, at Sotheby's Collectors' Week in Abu Dhabi, the Italian supercar reached a new milestone: $10.13 million. A staggering increase of over 72 %, confirming its place as one of the most coveted pieces on the world market.

A unique hypercar, passed from workshop to workshop... and from investor to investor

The Riviera is no ordinary Zonda. Originally a simple Zonda Fit has been completely redesigned and rebuilt by Pagani via the Unico program, a kind of bespoke workshop where the manufacturer dismantles a car right down to the chassis before reinventing it. This privilege, rare even among Modena customers, has transformed this Pagani into a rolling work of art. The result of this metamorphosis is a spectacular silhouette: Pearl White color, redesigned air intakes, 760 rear wing, carbon rear fin and prototype-style air intake on the roof. The interior, with its blend of black leather and blue Alcantara, is reminiscent of the Mediterranean and underlines the strong identity of this one-off.

This technical and aesthetic richness partly explains its astonishing trajectory. Since its first registration in 2017, the Riviera has already had five owners. It has crossed Europe, the Emirates and the most prestigious specialist showrooms, without actually being driven: 907 km at the beginning of 2025, then... 908 km just before its auction.

A Pagani Zonda that has been rocking the market since 2024

The year 2025 had already begun with high expectations. In February, the Riviera reappeared, estimated at around 10 million $, then in early September, Sotheby's announced its presence in an exceptional sale organized in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix. The hypercar was to rub shoulders with Aston Martin One-77, McLaren racing cars and even diamonds, including the spectacular "Desert Rose" at nearly $7 million. It didn't take long for collectors to realize that the Zonda would be one of the stars of the week. The recent history of Zonda models on the auction block contributed to this: the LM Roadster exceeded 11 million $ in 2024, the Zonda Aether reached 6.8 million $ in Abu Dhabi in 2019, and the Revolución Specification passed 5.34 million $ in 2023. Against this backdrop, it seemed increasingly plausible to imagine the Riviera breaking the symbolic 10 million $ barrier.

The hammer falls to 10.13 million $

On December 5, 2025, confirmation arrived. RM Sotheby's publishes a simple, almost sober message: "Sold: $10,130,000 USD." The Pagani Zonda Riviera finds a new owner, probably an international collector looking to secure an ultra-rare asset. At this price level, the Riviera becomes one of the most valuable examples in the history of the Zonda. In six years, it earned more than $4 million, while covering just one additional kilometer.
