It's a sacred monster of automotive history that's about to go under the hammer. On August 13, 2025, at the prestigious Monterey Jet Center auction organized by Broad Arrow Auctions, a 2005 Maserati MC12 Stradale, chassis no. 12095, will be offered for sale with an estimate of between $4.8 and $5.5 million. A price worthy of the legend.

A Maserati born of racing, with a Ferrari heart

The MC12 Stradale is much more than a supercar: it's a special homologation, created to enable Maserati to return to international circuits in FIA GT1 after a 37-year absence. To achieve this, Maserati relied on an exceptional base: the Ferrari Enzo, whose chassis and 6.0-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine (Tipo M144A) it uses, albeit slightly modified.

The result: 630 hp, a 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h. But the MC12 doesn't just copy its Ferrari cousin: it's longer, wider, taller and more aerodynamic, with a carbon-fiber body designed for GT1 performance.

Only 50 for the road

Produced in only 50 road-legal examples (25 in 2004 and 25 in 2005), the MC12 Stradale is even rarer than the Ferrari Enzo (400 units). The one to go on sale in Monterey is from the second and final series, bearing chassis number ZAMDF44B000012095.

It sports the iconic Bianco Fuji pearl livery with blue accents, a nod to the Scuderia Camoradi that raced Maseratis in the 1960s. The interior is trimmed in blue leather and BrighTex fabric, an innovative material with a carbon look.

A masterpiece for the discerning collector

This model has clocked up 11,500 kilometers since new, and benefited in July 2025 from a complete $70,000 mechanical reconditioning at GTO Engineering, a recognized specialist in Ferrari mechanicals.

Work carried out: replacement of the clutch, engine seals, oil and water pumps, realignment of the steering, replacement of fluids, cryogenic cleaning of the engine, etc. This investment testifies to the owner's commitment to preserving the value of this icon.

With an impressive GT1 track record (40 wins in 96 races, 6 team titles, 2 manufacturer titles), ultra-limited production, Ferrari powertrains and an iconic design, the Maserati MC12 Stradale ticks all the automotive grail boxes.

Rare is the opportunity to acquire such a model in such impeccable condition. If bidding reaches its estimate, this MC12 could become one of the most expensive ever sold.
