You'll never guess the price of the Lamborghini t-shirt by Balenciaga

Automobili Lamborghini x Balenciaga, act 2. At the end of May 2025, the Parisian haute couture house officially launched its entire exclusive collection in collaboration with the Italian manufacturer. After teasing in december 2024 and the limited release of a long-sleeved T-shirt featuring the Lamborghini Temerario, the complete range is now available. And the least we can say is that it's turning heads... as much as it's turning bank meters.

A T-shirt... for 650 euros

The capsule collection, which fuses automotive and luxury fashion codes, features a range of T-shirts. The most visible, in an oversize version, retails for €650.. Yes, you read that right. This simple cotton top Lamborghini and Balenciaga, costs the equivalent of a set of tires for Huracán.

And it's not the only thing that adds to the price. A "shrunk" version is available for €550, while the long-sleeved t-shirt tops out at €750. The "soccer" model, a nod to oversized soccer shirts, flirts with the €1,100 mark.

Leather, bags, mugs...

The rest of the collection is no exception. Judge for yourself:

  • Oversized bomber: €6,500
  • Rodeo bag: €7,500
  • Hourglass small bag: €2,400
  • Travel mug (now sold out): €95
  • Pouch: €1,690
  • Belt: up to €550
  • Travel cushion: €1,200

When it comes to accessories, even socks cost €120 a pair. A price that may be outrageous for the average motorist, but it's accepted in the world of Balenciaga, which is accustomed to shaking up the codes of luxury.

A well-established trend among Italian brands

Ferrari did it, Maserati tried it. Lamborghini takes it a step further. By collaborating with Balenciaga, the bull brand is capitalizing on the lifestyle aura of supercars, far beyond the racetrack. This collection isn't designed to dress the driver, but to assert, on the street or on Instagram, that he belongs to an exclusive universe.

Behind the price shock lies a perfectly honed strategy. This type of partnership is as much about appealing to fashion fans as it is about reinforcing Lamborghini's status image. The pieces are not mass-produced, and some are already on back-order. Their rarity is part of the concept.

It's unlikely you'll come across many of these T-shirts in the paddocks. But in the posh districts of Paris, Milan or Tokyo, they become collector's items for Balenciaga customers... or Lamborghini fans ready to break the bank.

So, should you give in to temptation? If you've got an Aventador in the garage, the answer may be yes. For the rest of us, it's a curious look at a phenomenon that goes beyond the car: that of luxury at the crossroads of the automobile and haute couture, where a simple T-shirt can cost the price of a driving course.
