When it comes to LamborghiniBut as with so many of the most unlikely objects you come across on the Internet, it's now possible to get your hands on a Gallardo V10 engine. And yet, as with so many unlikely objects on the Internet, it's now possible to get your hands on a Gallardo V10 engine... with just a few clicks, on AliExpress. Yes, the Chinese e-commerce giant.

An Italian V10 to add to the basket

The ad is clear: for €80,760.39 plus shipping, a seller is offering a 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated engine from a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.

But that's not all. The product sheet states that this engine is also suitable for the Aventador, Huracan and Urus. A statement that will make you smile: two of these models (Aventador and Urus) are powered by a V12 or V8, not a V10. In other words, the compatibility announced is perplexing.

A salesman still... green

A little digging reveals that the store behind this offer has only existed on AliExpress since July 6, 2025. In other words, no reputation, no sales history for parts as prestigious as a Lamborghini engine. And while the description is reassuring, there's no guarantee of the engine's internal condition, or even of its origin.

Announcements of this type are reminiscent of certain mishaps that have already been documented. Like the fake Toyota 2JZ engine purchased on another Chinese platform which, once opened, revealed cracks, out-of-tolerance pistons and metal shavings in the oil sump... Enough to chill even the most reckless.

Expensive, even for a Lamborghini engine

AliExpress often rhymes with bargains, but here it's hard to talk about knock-down prices. For comparison, a Gallardo V10 is currently listed on eBay for around €23,000, sold by a highly-rated German professional. Safer, more transparent... and cheaper.

It's surreal to imagine an Italian engine from Sant'Agata Bolognese listed alongside wigs and bicycle accessories. That's the folly of the Internet: everything can be sold, from the most banal to the most exceptional.

It remains to be seen whether the potential buyer of this V10 will dare to click on "buy now" and cross his fingers... or whether he will prefer, with a hint of wisdom, to go through more traditional channels to offer a new life to his Lamborghini. An announcement reminiscent of the Ferrari California engine published a few months ago on Aliexpress.
