Underground Racing knows no bounds. The American tuner, already responsible for the Huracán STO with 1700 hp, 2000 hp, then monsters capable of humiliating a Bugatti Tourbillon, is back today with an even crazier project: a Lamborghini Huracán STO that reaches 3500 hp. Yes, three thousand five hundred. Power bordering on the absurd, claimed by those who have made the twin-turbo V10 an absolute weapon for setting new records.
A STO that already dominates... and still wants more
This story doesn't begin today. It begins on the Texas track, at the famous TX2K event, where a Huracán STO prepared by Underground Racing, driven by a certain Greg, literally crushed the competition. We're talking about a car capable of speeds of 225, 229, 235, 235 then 246 mph, i.e. almost 396 km/h, setting the roll race record in the process and winning the Elite 8 category twice.

This yellow STO is not a stripped-down prototype or a machine dedicated exclusively to dragstrip. It's a totally street legal car, equipped with a modified original DCT transmission, 17-inch dragster tires and capable of being driven almost like a classic Huracán.

In a recent video shared by the tuner, we even relive one of TX2K's most memorable moments: an epic duel against a 3600hp Dodge Viper Calvo. What's even crazier is that the driver hasn't yet exploited the car's full potential: on the 235 mph and 246 mph runs, you can clearly see his brake lights come on before the finish line, just to be on the safe side! Next time, Underground Racing announces that the parachute will be deployed to go for an even higher figure.
From 2000 hp... to over 3500 hp!
In recent years, Underground Racing has taken on a series of unusual projects: a 1700 hp purple Huracán worthy of Need For Speed Underground, an STO Bronzo Zante with over 2000 hpthen an STO sent from Saudi Arabia to receive a 2000hp preparation, designed to withstand the heat of the desert while remaining usable on a daily basis.
But the case of the yellow STO is even different. Underground Racing's engineers speak of a preparation that now exceeds the 3500 hp threshold, thanks to an in-house twin-turbo system pushed to an extreme level and an engine management system capable of exploiting every centilitre of ethanol. A coherent estimate when compared with the performance of other 3000-3600 hp machines. Top speed? 395 km/h, achieved over half a mile (800 meters), with a safety margin for braking, as the parachute was not used.
In search of new records
What's striking is Underground Racing's obsession with records. This Huracán STO has already won everything: the Elite 8 twice, the roll race record, a Dragy record for a road car, a half-mile in excess of 250 mph... and yet the tuner is aiming for new heights.
A message published a few days ago on social networks clearly suggests that this STO has not yet reached its full potential. The team is already preparing the next runs, this time using the parachute. The objective is clear: to become the fastest Huracán in history, and surpass the figures posted by the Calvo Viper with over 3600 hp.
Between the 1700hp purple Huracán, the 2000hp bronzo, the 2000hp Saudi STO designed for the desert, and now this yellow STO with over 3500hp, Underground Racing continues to write the legend of the V10. Lamborghini. An engine far from outdated, in fact a record-breaking machine. And when you consider that it has already reached 395 km/h by lifting the foot before the line... you can imagine what will happen when the driver stops braking.
