It's an appearance as rare as it is exclusive: a road-legal Lamborghini Sesto Elemento has been spotted on British roads, en route to the highly prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025. This unusual model, originally designed for track use only, has become one of the most popular in the world. Lamborghini the most exclusive on the road.

Presented at the 2010 Paris Motor Show and produced from 2011 onwards, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento (literally "Sixth Element", in reference to carbon) is an extreme supercar derived from the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera. Its chassis, bodywork, suspension and even transmission make extensive use of carbon fiber.

Weighing in at just 999 kg, with a naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine developing 570 hp and 541 Nm, this supercar boasts a 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 325 km/h. At the time, it represented the pinnacle of Sant'Agata Bolognese technology. Selling for around 2 to 3 million euros, it was one of the most expensive Lamborghinis ever produced, until the arrival of the Veneno.

A road-legal version from Lanzante

Until recently, none of the examples produced - 10 according to some records (and not 20 as officially announced) - were allowed to run on public roads. The Sesto Elemento was a pure, uncompromising track car: fixed seats integrated into the structure, stripped-down interior, no air-conditioning, no soundproofing, nothing that could bring it closer to a road car.

But in 2025, British company Lanzante, well known for having already converted McLaren F1 GTRs and Porsche 911 GT1s for the road, took on a new challenge: homologating a Sesto Elemento for road use. The result: the only now-legal example is circulating in the UK, and was spotted this weekend at Goodwood, attracting a lot of attention.

One of the stars of Goodwood 2025

Photographed on the British roads en route to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, this Sesto Elemento quickly set social networks ablaze. The event, which each year brings together the finest jewels of sports and historic motoring, had one of its most memorable moments.

It's also a technical and administrative feat: converting such a radical car to meet the safety requirements of road homologation is no mean feat. The fate of this model had been a mystery for over a year, its public debut at Goodwood marks a world first.

A collector's item worth over 3 million

Today, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is not only a collector's item, but this homologated example is becoming a unique case on the world market. Estimated at over 3 million euros, it represents the ultimate fantasy for collectors of extreme supercars.

The question now is: will other owners take the plunge? Will we ever see more than one Sesto Elemento on the open road? For the moment, only one is on the road legally, and it's in the UK.
