It might look like a video generated by artificial intelligence, or a staging worthy of a monster truck show. But the scene is real. In a Florida parking lot, a driver behind the wheel of an imposing, elevated pickup literally drove over a Lamborghini Huracán... without even realizing it.
The Italian supercar was moving slowly, probably looking for a spot. An ordinary situation. But everything changed in a matter of seconds when the pickup, much taller and travelling at a speed ill-suited to a parking lot, came round the corner.
What follows is more than just a fender-bender. There's no marked braking, no visible attempt to avoid. The collision occurs... then the pickup continues. The Lamborghini is climbed. The vehicle climbs over her hood as if over an obstacle. It's only when it comes to a halt that the driver seems to realize that something has gone wrong.
The clash of extremes
This accident perfectly illustrates a well-known problem in the automotive industry: collision compatibility. On one side, an extremely low Lamborghini Huracán, designed for performance and aerodynamics. On the other, an elevated pickup weighing several tons, equipped with large wheels and excessive ground clearance.
The result is clear: the two vehicles evolve in totally different “worlds”. The Lamborghini becomes almost invisible from the pickup's driving position. The higher the vehicle, the greater the blind spots, especially at the front. In this case, they were decisive.
More fear than harm
Fortunately, there were no injuries. The Lamborghini's owner, who was present at the scene, even shared the images afterwards on his instagram account, with a certain calmness given the situation.
Of course, in another context, it could have been much more serious... A child, a pedestrian, an animal... the reduced visibility and lack of reaction observed in this situation leave little room for doubt. This time, only a supercar paid the price. But the image remains striking: a Lamborghini transformed into a simple speed bump, crushed under a pickup truck... with the indifference of its driver.
