While Ferrari continues to push the limits of performance with its SF90 Stradale (1000 hp) and SF90 XX Stradale (1030 hp), Lamborghini is preparing its response. The Sant'Agata Bolognese brand is said to be on the verge of unveiling the most powerful supercar in its history at Pebble Beach in August. His name: Fenomeno.
An evocative name for an extraordinary Lamborghini
The name Fenomeno, which literally means "phenomenon" in Spanish, was recently the subject of a patent application by Lamborghini. And according to several corroborating sources, this is the name of the ultra-exclusive new model that the brand will unveil at the prestigious California Concours d'Elegance. A world first eagerly awaited by enthusiasts and collectors alike.
Base de Revuelto... taken to the extreme
Based on the Revuelto, Lamborghini's first plug-in hybrid with 1015 hp, the Fenomeno is said to have the same V12 hybrid powertrain. But that's where the comparison ends. Early rumors point to an unprecedented level of power, greater than that of the Ferrari SF90 XX, which would put the Fenomeno above 1030 hp, an all-time record for a road-legal Lamborghini.
As is often the case with this type of exceptional model, the Fenomeno will be produced in a very limited series of just 29 units. At a private presentation for a select few customers, one of them was quoted as saying, "This is a car that will change everything".
Rendezvous at Pebble Beach
All we have to do now is wait until August at Pebble Beach, California, to finally discover this Fenomeno. If it lives up to its promises, it could well establish itself as the most powerful production Lamborghini of all time, and perhaps even as the new benchmark for Italian hypercars.
