Lamborghini recalls 27 Revuelto for a problem that could cause owners to "lose their minds".

It's a reminder that might make you smile... or not! Lamborghini has just announced the recall of 27 examples of its latest hybrid hypercar, the Revuelto. The cause? A tiny mechanical component that could turn the famous elytra doors into veritable guillotines.

Elytra (or scissor) doors have been a Lamborghini design signature since the Countach of the 1970s. But on certain Revuelto models manufactured between December 2023 and February 2025, a problem has been detected with the spherical pin that holds the spring. This element allows the door to remain open at the top. Tightened incorrectly at the factory, this part could become dislodged and cause the door to fall back without warning.

An end-of-production test pinpointed the fault after a spring had come loose. A check at a dealership confirmed the problem: insufficient tightening of the pin. As a result, the Italian manufacturer decided to err on the side of caution and launch an official recall, although so far no incidents or injuries have been reported.

The part in question fits in the palm of one hand. And yet, it is supposed to support a supercar door of almost two meters in length, designed in carbon, but still particularly heavy. If it gives way while the door is open, it could fall suddenly, a potentially dangerous scenario...

This recall remains marginal in terms of volume (just 27 cars), but it is symbolic for a model as prestigious as the Revuelto. Affected owners will receive an official letter between September 6 and 11, but dealers have already been notified since July 21, 2025. It is likely that some vehicles have already been repaired.
