Bad news for Kimera Automobili fans!

A few weeks ago, all seemed clear. Kimera Automobilithe young Italian brand already famous for its EVO37 and EVO38, was preparing its arrival in motorsport with a spectacular model: the K39, a modern tribute to the Lancia Beta Montecarlo Group 5. On November 3, their website displayed a mysterious countdown to November 22, 2025. A perfect date to imagine the official revelation of a competition program. Except that date has passed... and nothing has happened. No announcement, no press release, not a single word. On November 24, the surprise even turned to confusion: the site replaced the eighteen-day countdown with one indicating over 170 days.

Kimera responds: the K39 reveal is postponed

Faced with this sudden silence, and because I had to sort out the truth from the falsehood, I decided to contact Kimera Automobili directly. Their response was prompt, warm and, above all, very clear.

The brand confirms that it has had to postpone the presentation of the K39. The event that was to have hosted the unveiling failed to materialize, resulting in a shift in the calendar. As a result, the countdown is now pointing to the new official date. We'll have to wait until May 15, 2026 to finally discover what Kimera is up to for its return to motorsport. An unexpected setback, but not an abandonment.

The K39: a promise still intact

This postponement doesn't change a thing. The Kimera K39 remains one of the most exciting projects of the moment in the world of racing cars inspired by Italian heritage. Presented as a tribute to the Beta Montecarlo, fashioned in a virtual wind tunnel and probably powered by a twin-turbo hybrid V8 rated at around 828 hp, it should mark a new dimension for Kimera: that of a manufacturer capable of producing a genuine competition car, far removed from mere restomods. Even with its postponement, the K39 continues to build pressure.

Towards Pikes Peak 2026?

One more hint keeps the smile on our faces. The most logical event for a first race appearance remains the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, to be held on June 21, 2026.
This calendar fits perfectly with the new reveal date. A presentation on May 15, a commitment a month later... It all fits together. Kimera has not confirmed anything, but it's hard not to see this as the most credible lead. And for a brand built around aerodynamics, lightness and pure performance, Pikes Peak would be ideal terrain.

Fans were waiting for November 22, 2025. They'll have to wait another six months. Bad news at the time, but probably a blessing in disguise, if it means Kimera can deliver a launch worthy of its ambitions. See you then on May 15, 2026, to finally unravel the mystery of the Kimera K39 and discover how the Italian brand intends to write its first chapter in modern motorsport. And if the clues don't lie, the next chapter could well be played out at the summit of Colorado.
