And if Fiat was becoming... the car brand most committed to the animal cause? Behind this idea, which may seem surprising, lies an increasingly coherent product strategy. Yes, you've probably noticed: at Fiat, animals are everywhere.
A range with a safari feel
It all began with the Fiat Panda, a true icon of the Italian brand for decades. Then, more recently, Fiat pushed the envelope with the Fiat Grande Panda, a modernized, electrified version of the iconic model. But this is clearly only the beginning.
According to several sources close to the manufacturer, Fiat is preparing a veritable “animal family” to structure its entire future range:
- Fiat Panda (B segment)
- Fiat Grande Panda (B-SUV)
- Fiat Grizzly (C-SUV)
- Fiat Fox (C-SUV coupé)
- Fiat Orso (family D-SUV)
- Fiat Koala (compact sedan)
A strategy almost reminiscent of... an open-air zoo.
A unique partnership with WWF
But Fiat wouldn't stop at simple marketing naming. The Italian brand's CEO, Olivier François, has announced a partnership with WWF, one of the world's largest NGOs committed to protecting biodiversity.

The principle is simple: €100 donated to WWF for every Fiat sold. This initiative enables Fiat to reinforce its responsible image, while creating a direct link between its “animal” models and the preservation of species. A clever way of transforming a product strategy into an environmental commitment.
«This partnership is a perfect illustration of the role that companies can play in protecting the living world. Combining a product strategy with a concrete contribution to biodiversity is both an innovative and necessary approach.»
Alexandra Palt, WWF President
«With this new range inspired by the animal world, we wanted to go beyond design and tell a story. This partnership with WWF gives meaning to that vision, turning every Fiat sold into a concrete contribution to species protection.»
Olivier François, Fiat CEO
A well-defined schedule
According to these indiscretions, the schedule for the next launches has already been set:
- Fiat Grizzly and Fiat Fox expected in summer 2026
- Fiat Orso and Fiat Koala scheduled for 2027
This “automotive Noah's Ark” will soon be complete. Behind the amusing aspect of this orientation, Fiat may well be playing a clever card. In a market saturated with technical and sometimes forgettable names, relying on animals provides immediate memorability, a strong identity and a universal emotional dimension.
And at a time when automakers are looking to humanize (or “animate”?) their brands, Fiat seems to have found an... original angle. 🐟
