Ferrari promised an exceptional 2025 with six new models. And the promise has already been largely kept: four of them have been unveiled in just a few months. The 296 Speciale opened the ball at the beginning of the year, followed by AmalfiRoma's replacement, and more recently, the spectacular 849 Testarossa and its Spider version.
Four models, but two mysteries remain. It's already October, and Maranello is keeping up the suspense. What could the two Ferrari models still hidden be?
F244: the first electric Ferrari 100 %
This is the model that could make Ferrari history: the F244, a 100 % BEV crossover. Long-awaited, this first electric Ferrari is being scrutinized with passion and trepidation. Although it promises to redefine the standards of the electric luxury car, its presentation, once expected for Capital Day in October 2025, could finally be pushed back to 2026. Ferrari would prefer to unveil the technologies first, before showing the final model.
SP4: a tribute to the F40?
Another rumor: the possible arrival of the SP4, a tribute to the legendary Ferrari F40 for its 40th anniversary. Based on the Testarossa platform, it could feature a hybrid V8 and, even more surprisingly, a manual gearbox. Ferrari would thus return to its most radical origins, following in the footsteps of the Icona range already comprising the Monza SP1, SP2 and Daytona SP3.
Purosangue H: Ferrari's hybrid SUV
Maranello's best-seller could also evolve. A Purosangue H, equipped with a twin-turbo V6 hybrid, would complement the current offering dominated by the naturally-aspirated V12. A more reasonable version, but also better adapted to the new standards, would broaden the customer base of Ferrari's first SUV, all the more so as the Lamborghini Urus SUV is already offered as a hybrid.
Two trademark registrations revive speculation
While all this remains hypothetical, Ferrari recently gave a more concrete hint: two new names have been registered. SC40 and CZ26.
- SC40: a modern tribute to the F40?
The link is obvious: "40" for the anniversary of the F40, and "SC" which could stand for "Scuderia" or "Speciale". Everything suggests that Ferrari is preparing a radical supercar in tribute to one of the legends of its history. - CZ26: a total enigma
The name, however, remains a mystery. Some see it as the signature of a special project from the Ferrari Special Projects department, commissioned by a wealthy collector. This is a tradition at Maranello, where unique models such as the P80/C and SP3JC are sometimes created.
